this is good. how did you get the horns to sound that good? what a groove you got going here, reminds me a little of Parliament live and stretching out. very cool track.
apocafunk
to get the horns right. I had three NNXT samplers on my Reason rack (one with a trumpet quartet, one with a solo trombone, and one with a tenor sax)each one had to be filtered through various effects ( mainly chorus, maximizer, compressor, a bit of verb, and a slight phaser) to get the warmer analog tone to them. the melodies were just hammered out on the MIDI controller, as well as the beats (two different drum kits to add fullness). it was a long process, but well worth it. thanks for the feedback, and glad you dug it.

I am glad you explained the use of horns. Those horn samples just don't ahve the 'ambrachure' us human players have... nice tweak. I like what you did with the Tenor at 2:30
