Description:
I wrote the acoustic guitar parts for this song a few weeks ago, but had no idea what to do with it.
Josh came over yesterday to work on a few things and suggested we try to work something out with the acoustic track I'd recorded.
So, Josh laid down some drums, we grabbed various objects from around the house to add some atmospheric percussion, rosined up the bow (I saw Sigur Ros in Toronto on Monday,) and the next thing you know, this song was born.

In the next few days I'm going to try to sketch out some lyrics for it and get my girlfriend to throw down some sweet sweet cello.

its just amazing how you used the bow !!!
this is the most respectable demo I ever heard !
very floydian and old school of pro psycho rock ..

It's good to know this song carries a bit of weight.

I was initially going to post it under Art Rock, but I wasn't sure. I never have any idea what category to post things under.

Sonic Youth? Yep.

Sigur Ros? Sure.

But I'm hearing more and more Pink Floyd in your songs these days. Parts of this are straight out of the Meddle-era. Some abject vocals will really carry this over to your side of the equation; although I'm digging this just as it is.

Though it would be hard to carve it in stone, Meddle has probably always been my favourite of their works. Obscured, Atom Heart, Meddle, Dark Side and Wish You Were Here was probably their best era.
This is certainly a flattering comparison.

I have no idea what to do for vocals yet. I've been singing along for the last two days and nothing has really grabbed my attention.
There is, of course, the possibility of not adding vocals... but I really want to sing on this, you know?
Bah... I don't know what I'm doing.

Great song. Thought it was more like Mogwai than Sigur Ros.
Cello would be great on this but it stands well as it is
