Description:
Ok this is from the Opera Lucia di Lammermoor.
In this song Lucia is showing her first signs of crazyness.
She starts out by seeing the ghost of a dead woman predicting death and doom for Lucia and her family.
Then she remembers how amazing and hunkie her boyfriend is and spends the rest of the song in manic ecstasy and denial.

Lyrics:
In the silent night, under a pale moon, the water in the well turns to blood, as the ghost of a young woman appears. She points at me and tries to speak . . .
But my boyfriend is my light and my joy. Ah the ecstasy.

As a Bellini fanatic, I naturally admire Donizetti. The most intense musical experience I ever had (other than the Blue Oyster Cult or the the MC5) was witnessing the immortal Sumi Jo perform the Mad Scene, after which I snuck backstage and got her autograph. (Videos of her are posted at YouTube.)

The idea of these cavatinas is that every phrase should be lovely. What a different concept from modern music in which everything is designed to be ugly and vile. Thank you for clearing the air here.

You certainly have the range, but could you maybe tone-down the vibrato some? That wide vibrato is an anachronism of the 20th century (the worst century since the 12th). I think the modern style now reverts back to the 19th-century's original "clean" style.
