Description:
This is sort of a repost of a song I called Evangeline. The only original track from that is the fingerpicked guitar backing. The lead vocal, lead guitar and harmony vocal are all new. To my ears this is an improvement but I have already gotten one feedback before posting that the vocal is not as good. Your comments on this would be appreciated.
Lyrics:
Evangeline I loved you, why did you slip awayInstead of learning to come together
Evangeline was the sweetest girl, and she came into my life
and then she floated away again
Why is it that we never see untill the darkness comes
Why don't we understand that it's a long time gone
The moon just went behind a cloud, and I'm alone
in a crowd, but I can still remember you
Dark eyes flashing, long brown hair blowing in the wind
And then you floated away again
Evangeline I loved you, why did you slip away
Instead of learning to come together
But I remember you laughing with me, and that's the way I
hoped it would be
For the rest of our lives

This one of the very best fingerpicking pieces that you have done. Your getting a nice tone but most importantly your flow of the fingerpicking seems more assured. ya, the lead is nice as well. But I am impressed with the improvement with the fingerpicking flow. It really seems like your doing your home work on the backdrops.
But nice harmonies especially as the tune continues.
I enjoy your style, it is that blues reflection and long lost love type thing. I really think this a really forte in your bag of musical tricks and treats.
I always enjoy commin over to hear a bronco tune.

I remember the original version you did of this. It was a great tune to begin with and the enhancements you've made here make it even better. Nice job on the harmonies.
