John Grand is in a limo headed to the airport. It is raining and his mood is black as the storm clouds. It is evident that the situation in California has been undermined . Tomorrow his child will hear about her fathers company described as callous and uncaring ... responsible for all the problems of the cities homeless. John wants to be angry ... they just do not get the bigger picture ... but something will not let him. Somewhere inside his mind a war has begun.
Performance note : Solo .... Dajama [Not Like Me] Piano: Gail60 [ Not Like Me]
Solo .... Terry Pearson [vocals and guitars] The Edge Apokafunk [ lead guitar ] The Edge

David vocal and Gail's playing worked wonderfully together, Terry's vocal and guitar, backed up by Apokafunk's leads are fantastic.

I love the rhythm and guitars in this. Superb electric, TEA. Sweet vocals, David, Gail, and Terry. Gail's piano is always a treat. The story progresses as Mr. Grand is having slight twinge of conscience...

That whole second part is so whole - lovely vocal and terrific guitar. Wow! Those lyrics are truly perceptive and well-crafted too. Cool. Peace.

"That whole second part is so whole"? Yep, it's confirmed - I'm losing my mind...should be "That whole second part is so cool". Peace.

It even inspired me to write Awe-ful Truth.

The Edge is killer!
Thanks, all!

David's performance skills here are so clear and strong. He had some concern over doing this track and I still have no idea why ... he is perfect. Gail60's piano is a beautiful backing to a great performance. Terry originally sent me "The Edge" early summer and I earmarked as a must have tune for this project. Terry has such amazing writing ability as witnessed by his lyrics on this. I have listen to this guy for decades now and he still floors me with his abilities. Josh [Apokafunk] was asked to play lead on this track and he "Burns" a lead that still makes me drop my jaw. This track was always the midpoint of the project and one of the earliest and easiest to complete. Guess it was something to do with talent all round... :-]

David's solo is great here! I keep pushing my voice to reach this level. Still dreaming. Gail, I love your playing! Again, still dreaming! Jack, thank you, dear friend, for manipulating my little child into a compatible entry into your masterful production here. It's such an honor to be included along with such talented people. Josh, what can I say? Insure those gifted hands! Terry

So laid back yet driving. Like a lethargic juggernaut gently rolling down a hill.
