Description:
David Gómez Sanz (magullo) and I made this. Please help us know how to improve our offerings.

Lyrics:
The Joy of Grace
5th Movement, Hungry for Heaven

Hurling down an asphalt slipstream
You take to the road in your dream machine
You don't obey the signs, you don't look both ways
You are a traveler out of phase

In the cradle of a grand creation
under the arch of a wondrous vault
You begin to read the cracks and the ripples
You begin to know the reason for love

We are the members of His body
We are the architects for love
We are the laborers for justice
We are the disciples of the truth

We are cooled in the shade of the tree of life
drawing from the well,
reaching toward the sky
freed by the cross, connected by a prayer

Write your songs in the desert
Dream your visions in streams running clear
Run the viridian shoreline
Harvest the teeming tempest forest

Praise the God of all souls
Praise the Lord of the Way
Praise the Healer of woes
Praise the Hope of the world

Hear the unborn babies wailing
Fear the judgment of your friends
Hear the rattle of broken vows
Fear the shadows of vanity

What will bring us through?
It is grace
Know the joy of grace

I wrote that for you, my friend

It seems that &mdash 10/06/08 - 10:59:17 PM
a number of people are making their way back to the MacJams life. My self as well. So good to hear your new piece. Sounds quite dynamic. Lots of interesting layer unique tonal effects. As per your request. You might put a little Chorus on the chorus vox with a very slow sweep and try a tad of flange on the lead voice. Short or no swell but mid range on intensity. Gives the current effect for most of the mainstream productions for vox. That and oral exciter expander is used during mastering. But, you have been doing this for so many years you know what is out there and how to as well. This is a living thing you have here. Great work and again, nice to see the name on the marque again.

Thanks, Regulus. I'm not as adept as you think about flanger and exciter effects. I appreciate the tips!

very good to hear this new piece Richard. I like this style of music and vocals which you make with David.
This tune is excellent, on all levels.
Really a pleasure to listen, bravo !

How could it be anything less, given the theme and the fact that it's a Richard Schletty post?

Nice work brother.

Be well!

BTW &mdash 10/09/08 - 11:09:36 AM
This reminds me so much of classic RUNRIG.

Have either you or David ever heard them?

Be well!

I haven't heard of RUNRIG. Maybe David has. Has RUNRIG heard of us? We've been around for three years.

Ha ha... &mdash 10/11/08 - 08:02:28 PM
Runrig is a Scottish group that's been around since around 1978. Their music has never really taken off here in the States. Not angry enough I think...

Aha! That compels me to post the "angry" movement from Hungry For Heaven.

Wonderful musical and lyrical magic. Centered heart and truth mixed with amazing guitar musical accompaniments.

Your best.
