Keywords:
60's (9)Wall of Sound (5)Grunge (19)Choral (12)Psychadelic (8)Garage (17)
Description:
"wall of sound" inspired 60's type tune - some 90's grunge in there as well

Lyrics:
So we're down on ourselves
Cause we think we're not satisfied with life
We look at everybody else
And we think that they know something we don't
But you know it's alright
If to keep yourself from going crazy
You think about tonight
At the expense of today

Cause everybody wants you know
Everybody wants you know
Everybody wants
Everybody wants
You know

so right &mdash 10/03/08 - 08:56:16 AM
amazing how you captured so many disparate genre's and seamlessly fused them together to make something truly completely different. Case in point, I am immediately day dreaming of my youth and then again there's just a sweet under current of alt rock running through the tune at the same time. Very cool Craig. More please

thanks man &mdash 10/03/08 - 12:03:21 PM
the song writes itself - you know how it is - I listen to xm radio in my truck, and so I catch the 60's channel in the morning when i'm grooving along and Ethel at night when i'm pushing to get home - so can't help I guess but mix the two.

Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba Baaaaahhhhhh! &mdash 10/03/08 - 09:03:21 AM
You are so groovy man, in a Greg Brady way (the episode where they got to Hawaii and he has the evil tiki necklace and goes surfing....)

I am totally into your 60's AM Radio approach to song writing, in fact, I dig it, man.

the AM sound &mdash 10/03/08 - 12:15:21 PM
the first radio I owned was a transistor that my granddad gave me, a white plastic rectangle in a leather case with an ear bud and i'd sit in the pasture a thousand miles away from anything cool or happening and float down the river of sweet summer rock and roll. i am definately all about the AM sound.

I don't think &mdash 10/03/08 - 03:54:44 PM
in my time at Macjams, that I have been blown away so much by such a professional song. What a gem. I like all aspects of this - the break in the middle is like a teaser making me wait in anticipation to hear it pick up again. Great vocal and that ba ba ba is sooo infectious!!!

DL'd & straight to iPod.

Love it!

Jim

Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba &mdash 10/03/08 - 09:26:57 PM
i read once that phil spector's mantra used to be "simple and catchy" and i always have that in mind. really glad that you like it, nothing better than when a song really turns somebody on (other than me ha). I've got so many great tunes from MJ on my ipod its very cool to know that other people have a few of mine on theirs. Thanks!

After this one, had to listen to them all... &mdash 10/04/08 - 01:08:35 AM
Mmm..dunno what you think you're doing, but many of us here at macjams do. In spite of our compliments, we're pretty much keeping mum on the REAL goods. There are two reasons for this conspiracy of silence about what 'ya got': First, we're not sure that we won't ruin a perfectly good musically-inclined innocent soul by telling you how talented you are. Secondly, we selfishly want to keep you for ourselves. For now, I'll just say that I like the sense of fun in your music.

..I agree with a lot of the positive comments you've been getting. This is a real gem - quality stuff. Love the sixties feel, but there's also an alternative My Bloody Valentine feel to this. Great stuff -

Phil

... loving those vocals, really really evocative of the 60's style yet still determinedly now.

Everybody will want it. &mdash 10/24/08 - 06:15:29 AM
This sounds like one of those great songs you might here in a TV commercial. You ought to shovel this out to hundreds of advertising agencies "Every wants you now" . Great phrase.
