3rd version... I used some suggestions, and did some more mixing. Thanks for the help! (Only second day since conception, so I still have a ways!)

We need world peace, we need world peace, we need world peace, we need world peace...

3rd version
must be the charm. i didn't hear the earlier cuts, but this sounds wonderful. Metheny-esque, rich in texture. I like it

improved...
The intro is getting better. I think the long held synth note may be a little loud in the mix, or maybe you can amplitude-sculpt it, give it some rise/fall in volume... it gets a little persistent... although, in some ways, I guess that builds some tension :-) Good singing voice. From your notes it looks like the high-pitched voice I mentioned earlier is just a place-holder for later, so I won't re-iterate that distracting "wo^rld" repetition. Love the pizzicato srings near the end. The percussion is OK, but may be a bit busy... I might reduce it in places, so you can use it to build excitement here and there by adding more drums, then relaxing with fewer. Also, you can never go wrong with a slowly building open hi-hat roll in a spot or two at the end of a quiet section before kicking into high gear :-) Gives it some urgency.
Just some thoughts! Sounds wonderful, and well worth working on!

Has breadth
The scope of this piece out-shines much of what's here at macjams. There is a creative 'idea' behind this composition that's more than a thought or an observation. As far as the musicianship is concerned: Strings are engaging, piano well-employed, and the vocal work is unique. Those three elements especially draw me in. Also, the composition is well-constructed, and there's refreshing dynamic range. Engineering is good too; you've got a clarity of parts, yet there is a thick texture to the sound. I sense you're not completely at rest with this yet. 'Am looking forward to your further refinements.
