Well i'm thoroughly impressed with the production... beat definitely lays a powerful creepy vibe, samples are blended in nicely, I thought lyrics were coming at first cause I didn't read that part but that gives me something to look forward to, hopefully they live up level of this beat.

Thanks I appreciate the comment, i put a lot into this track..

you got past the posting guard ... a late welcome to MJ fro me. wow really want to follow where this goes ...are you gonna post the final here?
PrototypeEightyOne
Thanks davis, I will most definetly post the final version up once its completed... It might be longer than expected though unfortunatly, I am having trouble getting through to one of them. its the kind of project that you need to bounce ideas back and forth, which is hard to do when hes never around! The other emcee is 100% into it though, so if it comes down to it i might have to scrap the initial idea of freddy vs jason.. if so, i'll have the one emcee do a horror theme to it and maybe embody some classic horror figures.

Tasty production. Love what's happening so far - has a pretty creepy feel to the whole thing and some wonderful abstract instrumentation. I really like the tweeks and bleeps that play off that syncopated piano - excellent. Really enjoyed -

Thanks Dolby i appreciate it, i put a lot of effort in capturing the feel of this. Its refreshing to hear others in different genres show appreciation, because what it comes down to is..its all about the art and creation of music. When i get a chance I will definatly check out your work.

Good job on putting together this little hair-raiser. Overall, it does indeed create creepy tension. I tend to prefer a little more intro-buildup before being hit with vox samples, you could lead up a little more with music first. But other than that, nice open spaces of music between sound bites, to let the mind wander into scary places. Well paced. And great music for this...
The ending sort of wimped out... I felt like it should climax in some horrid metal-crunching crash or scream or both. :-)

thanks for the comments and opinions drak, much appreciated. As for the intro, i went this route because i wanted an abrupt disturbance and unexpected transition into the actual track. So i scratched the idea of building it up in that sense. I like the ending (more suited for another track), but I agree the ending doesnt fit, good point. it should emulate the typical horror movie and end with something evil I will incorperate something different into it, possibly a voice sample, some scratching uneasy sounds etc...Thanks again for the input!

Although this tracks scared the heck out of me. It's very well done. Hm, I guess the track did what it was suppose to do. Man I still got the willies.

I can't say it enough. I think this is now my absolute fav. song so far. I am always looking for that something that comes from outside the box and you definitely hit it with this one. Love it.

at the same time. If you ever need any screaming, just ask. I love most classic and intense horror movies and I especially liked Hell Raiser. (Slasher flicks like Jason and Freddy don't really involve me that much.)Wonderful work. Thanks.
PrototypeEightyOne
thanks for the listen and glad you enjoyed it Char. If you can do some bloodcurdling screams, by all means send it to me and i'll find a place for it in the track.
Rocha Malhada
I really like the whole thing. It could stand a heavier dose of bottom end - have you messed with the EQ on the midi tracks much? One thing you can do is duplicate some of those tracks and play with the EQ's and panning separately, or work with some add-ins
Nice track

hey rocha thanks for the input.. yea thats a vital part of the process for me, is to seperate and eq. i agree, it could use more low end and the snare on the right channel during some sections i feel needs adjusting. glad you enjoyed it. one of my first using cubase4
