Description:
I didn't procrastinate.
Some of you commented that the song might sound a bit better with fills. So, here's what I came up with.
I really do appreciate the constructive criticism that you give me. That's one of the main reasons that I post my songs here. The other main reason is pure fun.
Let me know what you think of the re-mix.

Lyrics:
A Little Bit SunnyI don’t remember what you recall
It don’t matter at all
It just proves that I’m wrong
And don’t you find it a little bit odd
To know what I sense
It makes no difference
Because
Ah, it’s a little bit sunny outside, today
Ah, it’s a little bit sunny outside, today
And when you whisper louder in time
You will not see the sign
‘cause you’re not taking mine
Winding down, but don’t leave so fast
You don’t forget the past
We cry ‘cause we laugh
Ah, it’s a little bit sunny outside, today
Ah, it’s a little bit sunny outside, today
I have the sight, but I know I just might
Hide in my room for the rest of my life
Closing the door, I think there is more
Sound in the morning, it’s hard to ignore
Sun in the morning, I should take the warning
Illusions I see, a blind mystery
Working his feelings, I stare at the ceiling
Thinking of you thinking of me
Thinking of you thinking of me

Still a great song, and still puts me in a good mood! And I think the little changes add a little more dynamic here and there. Very cool. One of your best, my friend. Nicely done. Peace.
lavalamp
You like the changes? Right.
Dave
dajama
I most definitely do! Peace.
Vic Holman
nicely redone Dave. one of your coolest tunes. even if it's cloudy this song adds some sunnyness to the ears.
lavalamp
Glad you liked the changes.

Love it. I think the subtle changes were worthwhile.
Really original, great sounding song.I especially Like the melody, changes and guitar effects. psychedelic vibe. look forward to hearing more from you!
lavalamp
If you like that and have some time. Please, check out some of my older posts.
I think you'll like them. Maybe, on a rainy day.
And thanks,
Dave

I'm definitely going to check out older stuff from you and my other favourite macjammers. Unfortunately I get time to check out about 5% of the new stuff coming in! I like to listen to the whole song when I click on one.
Maybe I'll download more and make CD's for the drive to work... yeah!
Peter Bauckham
I'm glad this is just a subtle re-mix as the original was great anyway. The drums are more interesting on this version but as they're not too forward in the mix they don't detract from the other parts of the song.
Thumbs up then David!
Peter
lavalamp
I'm glad I didn't play around with it too much, as I liked the original. But, I must agree the drums were a lit on the boring side.
Thanks Peter,
Dave

nice remix Dave - very catchy tune - sigh.....now i'll be humming this all day
lavalamp
That was the point of the song. To get in your head.
And to have some fun.
Thanks,
Dave
guitapick
...you make some great chord choices. Unexpected and very effective at getting the "point" across.
Nice soundscape, David...
lavalamp
Thanks for checking out the re-mix. Glad you enjoyed.

... like Bob Dylan singing Cobain.
Love this off kilter vibe. Great work.

Nice job.. The only thing I could add ...is more harmonies.
bring some bass up. Well written!!! I dont think I heard this the first time around. Im glad I did this time!
lavalamp
What do you listen on? The bass seems fine, if not too loud, on my speakers.
That's the tricky thing, right?
I see what you mean regarding harmonies. That's what you get when you do everything yourself. I need you guys to bounce ideas off.
Thanks,
Dave
egobandit
I enjoyed this the first time around the fills fill it but either way to me its a great song!
lavalamp
Thanks for taking another listen. I don't usually re-post, but so many recommended that I touch it up.
Glad you liked both versions.

...but will go and check out. This is lovely though. really nice, flowing groove - and your vocals are spot on - just enough wobble in there to make it human, but some lovely harmonies on the b.vox.
The whole thing has an 80's vibe to it - which is nice. The guitars bring back many memories of slightly introverted gothy 80's bands. No bad thing. there's some interesting chord progressions going on in there as well, I think? Sounds good whatever you're doing -
Really enjoyed this -

Glad you got around to listen to this. Really please that you enjoyed the sound.

The lyrics are certainly optimistic; the music is decidedly darker in a Syd-is-coming-unhinged-way. I like the collision of the two, and find myself enjoying that I don't know whether I should be chipper....... or if it's time to fire up the wood chipper.
lavalamp
.. contradict. Happy lyrics+ dark music= lavalamp
Or the other way around.
Thanks for hitting this. Glad you liked it.

CRANK IT!

how so. I didn't hear the original but this mix is excellent. Two things that make it a cut above the rest. The way your excellent vocal weaves over the progression (which is cool in itself) and that guitar break.
