very cool &mdash 10/07/08 - 12:17:21 PM
i love that ragged, pavement/dinosaur jr. indie pop sound, and this is a good start at what could be a great example of that genre. really cool lyrics too - like the "she's coming home" chorus. phrasing is at times forced - vocally and musically - the genius of dino jr. is that they managed to make such a tight band sound so loose. just my four cents, but i really dig the song.

I recognize the &mdash 10/09/08 - 05:04:45 PM
tone lol. I used a 505 for a lot of years and got hooked on the flangey setting 1st or 2nd in bank F... I think? Anyway this is another very well written song and I can already see the improvement in production value from this one to your latest. You are starting to dial it in and it's noticeable from one to the next. Careful you'll get hooked lol. Welcome to MJ's this is the place to learn. If you listen to my older posts you'll hear the progression in production quality as I learned from this site.
P.S The guitars are in need of a set up. I think you'll be pleased if you get a technician to set up your intonation.
Peace
Guy

Nice writing &mdash 10/11/08 - 07:24:44 AM
Like the writing on this one. There may be some production issues, such as the ones stated above. But, great execution.
