Description:
I personally think the name of the track suits the music. I'm sorry I seem to write tracks which don't always seem to go anywhere, they just are. Some work, and you can make your own mind up about this one. I personally like it.
The beats and bass pad are done with the MicroTonic vst which I am having alot of fun with, and even though there are loads of presets this one was put together myself. I might do a remix with it, I'll have to see what happens.
The track is a laid back affair that is best listen to with headphones as some of the sounds pan around. The tabla rhythm is done by loading one shot samples into a vst drum machine and midi tiggered, and then put through CamelSpace. Enjoy.

Just is..... &mdash 10/09/08 - 02:49:18 AM
Excellent mix...I really enjoy the base and beats and especially I like the sound of voices that sound like birds to me. Makes it all very ethereal and laid back:) The pic goes very well...a warm and relaxing place, I have to say it also goes with your title. At second glance, i realize i have never actually seen a place like this..the sand out in the water...it looks like a giant disk..what a fun place!

rhythm of now &mdash 10/09/08 - 11:13:01 AM
it just is beautiful. sometimes music seems to go nowhere, it just is. however, when eyes open, the music finishes, and the world is a new place. this is such music. a new experience. new ideas. it is fresh music, for a new day. it makes the day more beautiful. thank you. 0x0

Really appreciate your kind comments. The reason for the apology is that in the past, people have commented on my tracks going nowhere. I suppose this track is probably just better. Thanks again.

Music doesn't have to go anywhere. &mdash 10/09/08 - 08:53:28 PM
Saying that a piece of music "just is" is saying a lot. Maybe it doesn't "go anywhere" because it's there already.

Hello man .. &mdash 10/10/08 - 09:17:28 AM
well this is a nice warm airy place to be indeed. Really have to say the constant but subtle flow of this is a big "hats off" to you ... just wonderful.
Am listening on some Bose comp. monitors and it sounds fantastic.
Very dang cool ?? Yep.

I'm really glad you like the track, it is a different direction for me as far as using the rhodes and organ vsti as well as the MicroTonic. Appreciate you listening and commenting. Thanks again.

Brilliant &mdash 10/10/08 - 02:22:05 PM
I like music tracks that "don't always seem go anywhere, they just are." Great description! May I use this in a quote. :-)

Loads going on here and I love the underlying bass and beat holding it all together. A great tune, genre defying, just as I like 'em.

I've taken a DL thanks.

for listening and commenting. You may use that in a quote if you like, it was just what came into my head after previous comments on past songs, I did not know it would get such a reaction, lol. I'm really pleased you like the track, I do try to put as many of my favourite genres into one track, and this is what happens. Thanks again.

really appreciate seeing you here and pleased that you like this track. Recently I have bought some vocal acapellas and so there will be quite a few tracks coming which have similar vocals. Thanks again for listening and commenting.

I like how this cruises along.

I'd love to see you work on a song. I'm really perplexed with the technique you're using with the midi triggered drum machine/sample set up.

Have any instructional videos available?

Thanks Keith.

Thanks for listening and commenting. I will send you further instructions and maybe a screen shot or link to show what I use, but I'm afraid there are no instruction videos, lol. Glad you like the track though and thanks again for popping by. Cheers Bob.
