The Farmer & The Bell

Description
This the year 2008, Oct 9th, historic problems with the stock market. I can think of no better people to keep happy than the farmers. Because they feed us! If they don't get loans that could be a major problem. With that bailout and the stock market, the farmers obtaining credit could result in a terrible situation. Those tractors, so many large expensive tools they need and paying their workers! Large farms, even the tons of smaller farms. Lets hope our leaders certainly don't leave them out in the cold!

A fine & catchy tune
I'm sure I will find a use for it in one of my videos somewhere. Thanks for sharing!

Sweet
Well-crafted piece with masterful guitar playing. Interesting variations, connected but with distinct phrasing and tonal relationships. I really liked the syncopation; it made the composition challenging to listen to. Also, there's superb aural presence in this recording. Gracias!

I'm sure
the farmers will send you plenty of their produce for dedicating this fine finger pickin' piece to them and all their hard work. A very justified dedication too for all the hard work they do in providing for us. Just love the lively piece you played as always, regards M

Rolls along nicely
You have quite the gift for a complex yet liquid flow to your pieces. This one is no exception.

And I second your thoughts on our farmers!

Who knew
Who knew that 'Turkey in the Straw' could sound this elegant? I love the presence you have in this recording!
We have lots of big farms here. Our school board president (whose son just grew out of my music program) just put in a 'digester' to take animal waste and turn it into electricity and gas. It cost a lot of money up front, but has lots of potential for job creation and alternative energy sources, not to mention the help it will be in keeping runoff out of the creeks and rivers. Yup, you're right. They need our support.

Beautiful work
Bill, you know hard work... not just in practicing to be this great-sounding on guitar, but on hauling and laying tile. I applaud you on your suggestion that we acknowledge the hard work our farmers do to get food on our table. I guess I better roll up my shirtsleeves and help weed and dig up our garden beds for the fall crop now! And I have to get our chickens (Custard, Quiche, Meringue, and Beige-ing) out of the lettuces and fennel! :-) Luckily we're just a teeny bit farmer... It is really hard work!

Great recording of your guitar (Betsy?) and delightful arrangement and writing.

ttfn,
Drakonis

Farms
Very true. Faming has historically been very dependent on the availability of credit, even before the farms and the tools got so big.

Very nice pastoral theme to this piece to go along with your comments. Great listen.

Thanks
Bill

Cool art for a cool tune
Bill, all I can say is, this needs to be heard by everyone. It needs to be a the backing for a PBS tv special or something. Clear and bright and beautiful. :-)
