Description:
This started as a big drum track to jam guitar and bass against. Then I started to mess around with my keyboard cause I was too lazy to set up the other gear and ended up doing a techno version of "You Keep Me Hanging On". You'll never hear it. However - I did stay in the synth mode and the result is this bed that I hope leaves room for someone to work with if they are interested. It's at 80 bpm. If anyone is interested I'll send the GB file or split tracks - there are only four.
I'm rehearsing with the band "Splinter" for an upcoming show - and as a result I seem to be a bit loopier when I sit down at the computer.
Check out Euro Slicer w/ Bud HenriROGERsoloandbands. Henri jumped on the open collab. Thanks.
Lunatrick gave this tune a great spin too. Listen here Euro Slivver w/ Bud
Be sure to give a listen to Euro Slicer iii w/ Bud from peacepiano - another cool take on this little groove.
euro bagel slicer by bageltogo is the latest great jam - give a listen
Here's a new one! eurovision from Tokai and Karmatoburn

This is fun to play with. I like the melody you lay down on the bass in the beginning and there's some keyboard work about 3/4 through I also like a lot. I'm currently messing with it in GB. As soon as they start letting me post, I'll post it.
bud
let me know if you want the file or split tracks.

There seems to be such a laid back vibe to this with the beat sort of hanging behind ( or forward) of the bass and keyboards that it sort of catches up and creates another type of groove.
Does that make any sense ??
It's not a tight groove but makes another groove that's just as infectious.
Looking forward to someone putting some verbals on it.
Nice on
bud
part two of the drums has a very slippery beat - it's a slightly confused shuffle that avoids the one. The reverb and delay doesn't help either. The working title when it was just drums was Big Swamp. I seem to be in a dub phase.
tokai
good vibes, like that bass and the over all sound bed that you have made, should sit tight over additional collabs, good luck with it.
bud
nice of you to comment.
peacepiano
No guarantees but I will give a spin. Nice sound bed!
Thanks

I look forward to what you come up with - it's always interesting. Want the GB file?
rsorensen
this is what i'd call a sexy beat if i used words like that to describe music, which I do not. great mix

harassment charges in the forum. Thanks Ridd.

wit it very fine experiment in groovin and gettin it out very laid back and cool!
bud
but that's not an indictment of loopers (remember where that conversation went once?) - I'm just too lazy lately to unpack my gear from practice and set it up here. Thanks for stopping by Tim. Really wish you could make it up for the 25th.

Cool stuff my friend .. it can be a rythem and balls
singing over this ...some guitar work and a moog !!!
would love to see what others gonna came up with..!
bud
Have a go at it - go ahead = lay down some heavy blues. Thanks for dropping in.

...beat, Bud. A loop all of its own. It certainly will find a home with someone's lead. I can't think of anything off-hand, so I am not going to commit to anything. Looks like others are interested, though. Good luck with this. (You sure push lots of styles/genres. Quite amazing to me that you can do that.)
Peace.

you're so true and supportive. This was fun - not knowing where it was going.

I could hear some trippy vocals laid on top of this.

i like it. maybe down the line.
at the moment I'm backlogged on a few tunes that have been hanging for a while.
bud
lined up - your work lately has been truly amazing. Thanks for stopping by.

I think this is your natural groove bud - and a very fine one it is too. Love the loose reggae feel. I could listen to this forever.
Cheers

I do seem to be slowing down lately - comfortable at about 80 bpm. Whatever happened to those 140 days?
The Infinites
You're able to handle any bpm - and I'm sure this would not be out of place in a Parisian nite club around 3am...
I used to think that I wasn't a big fan of this kind of avant-garde, clubby, mellowness, but as I get older I really like the vibe it presents me. I think since coming to Manhattan, I hear this kind of music all around and often wondered who makes this stuff? Thinkin' "bet I've never heard of them". Turns out I know the guy!
Nice work - your offer to collab is almost like a new MJ challenge. The Bud '08 Grooviness Challenge is on!!!
Cheers,
Talk soon,
Jim

Cool like that, or maybe, cool like Link from Mod Squad. Bud, you are the Link from MacJams.
Solid!
bud
more like the missing link I'd say.
Rocha Malhada
building blocks here, wish I knew how to do a screaming lead guitar, because that's what I keep hearing (Oh, no! it's those ghosts again!)
Plenty of talent around here to add justice to this piece, Bud.

hoping to hear some new juice on this - Henri laid some nice lines on it. Check it out. See above.

Lovely lazy beat and nice use of the bass and keys to set up some very cool dynamics. I can see a lot of people taking this to some interesting places! Very cool. Peace.
bud
this was just a groove that I fell into. We'll see what happens.

OOoooo. Man, at the clubs this one'll get everyone hot. Such a nice groove layed out, simple and effective. A real rumpus bumpus. Could funk out with this one on the dance floor for a long time.
bud
I could hear some sax or flute with this too. Sex it up a bit.
