I've been relocating myself since the last time I posted a song. I've moved from Norway to Aberystwyth, Wales for studies! Haven't a guitar here yet, so I'm listening to music I've recorded before in order to curb my guitar needs. Luckily I finished a bunch of songs before I left Norway, so I got new things to listen to! Will be posting some of them on here as time passes!
The song I'm going to share with you now is mostly recorded a year ago. It was autumn in Norway, and I was struck beauty of it. All the colours of the leaves, the beautiful sunsets and the feeling of starting a-new after a long, hot summer. At the same time there is something haunting about the autumn, because it leads in to the colder and darker times of the year. I got really struck by these feelings, and had to put music to it.
So most of the recording was done then, last autumn, together with a guide vocal. It was really the first time I recorded electric guitar properly and got it to sound good. I've experimented quite alot with the vocals since then, without really finding the sound I wanted. At the end of this summer I had some time at my hands, and did alot of recording. Finally I got the vocal to sound like I wanted(not claiming I can sing though) and added a banjo to the mix for a bit more ragged feeling!:D
Hope you enjoy the song, and as always; Comments are much appreciated!

Lyrics
Harvest Sun by The Chiefs!
The leaves are yellow, the skies are blue
The mood is mellow and so are you.
Harvest Sun, what is going on?
Harvest Sun, what have I done wrong?
The sun is shining, and the clouds are going
Over the hills and far away.
And I am freezing, but it's deceiving
I have to put a warmer coat on.
Harvest Sun, what is going on?
Harvest Sun, what have I done wrong?
I’ve got a fever that is living deep inside
So if you are a healer, come on; step aside
And I am walking in too big a-shoes
Double socks in and toe abuse
Harvest Sun, what is going on?
Harvest Sun, what have I done wrong?
(Same old)Harvest Sun, what is going on?
Harvest Sun, what have I done wrong?
Harvest Sun, what have I done wrong?

This one had a nice laid back feel to it and it just kind of sucked me into it. The instrumentation is reminiscent of some of those early stones tunes. Liked your banjo plucking and that slide sound, really gave it some character. Nice dirty laid back sound.
