that's exactly how I first learned how to use garage band, was to navigate my way around the loops...I would like to add some accompanying instruments to it if you don't mind

Welcome to Macjams... you will get lots of ideas, and friends, and help here.

I like the way the tune rolls along. Cool harmony, and nice soft instrument sounds. You forgot to chop off the end of the song... there was a lot of empty space at the end. You can experiment with just repeating the whole song again, and between those two halves, insert a soft section of more music, or sound effects, and different drums, then lead back into the second half. That can make this longer.
