Description
In the spirit of Halloween, I have written a song (primarily for my buddy Chris Cox who helped jump start the idea anyway) that incorporates some classic sounding guitar shredding that I think Michael Angelo Batio might appreciate for a small warm-up for his fingers.

I only used four loops in the song, there are four different drum loops I used for the rhythm. The rest is hand-scripted using VSTs and my master recording program. Enjoy, and give me some feedback. Contributors are also welcome.

stark!
i like the vibe of the pulsing riff in the intro,
this is very stark & edgy
the choir textured pad section does establishes a dramatic effect
this track seems so appropriate for the entrance of some character dark and powerful!
ta for sharing.

thanks!
thanks for the input! my friend asked me to write him a song, he selected a couple of VST voices, left to go back to his home for the night, and by that next afternoon i had finished the song!

This is
an addictive track! I'd suggest asking a lead guitar pro to help out. It would be great bed for them to work...

Apokafunk is one. Ziti, VicHolman... All might be able to make this really sizzle!

thanks! I've talked to Z some, i'll get him to listen and see what he can do to make it sound better. here in a bit I want to release a totally metal version of this song with a VST drum kit behind it.

Oh, and.....
If anyone has a modification, substitution in mind, I can send the song with any particular track dropped. For instance, i can send it without drums or the guitar solo, etc.

contribution is welcome!

Good sounds
And could be fun to play some lead over. Leaves room for the guitarist to interpret.

Cool sounds
This builds up very nicely. Interesting choice of sounds.

For a scripted guitar, that sounds pretty convincing.

Kudos.

yep!
I think that Hypersonic 2 by Steinberg has some really great VST sounds, and it's available for Mac better yet! It works as a rewire plug-in....if you didn't already know that. Thanks for listening and commenting, by the way!

I have a musical soul. Music moves me in deep ways and I love playing with sound. That is why, for writing music, I love techno and similar genres. I listen to just about everything, but when it comes down to stimulating my creative nature, the piano... [see more]
