Description
A song i wrote a while back. the lyrical content has to do with the pains we workers suffer for employers who see us only as a commodity, and when we are broken, easily replaced.
thia mix is a low volume one and i plan to re-record this in logic. so, consider this one the demo version... heh

Lyrics
GIANTS
I gave my blood—I gave my soul
Burning heat, pouring rain, working nonstop through it all
I lost my body---It took its toll
Shooting pain, pouring tears, trying nonstop not to fall
Did they care?
Did they feel?
Did they notice when I could not get out of bed at all?
Giants, walk the earth
Spilling blood of the innocent, then walking on the backs they broke
Giants, walk the earth
Making homes for the rich with the bodies of the poor
I lost my way--- I lost my pride
I lost my ability to earn a wage, while they sit back and smile
I lost my hope--- I lost my drive
I stopped giving a damn, cause that’s the lesson that ive learned
Did they care?
Did they feel?
Did they notice when I thought of ending it all?
I tried to state my case, for which they don’t deny
Yet for a piece of paper they hang me out to dry
I sit in a drug born haze merely to get by
They call me a liar and sentence me to die
I fight for my footing, I fight for my rights
I sit and take their innuendos and fight their petty fights
All I want is a little help to make my life mean more
But fighting a giant is like nothing I have fought before
Giants, walk the earth
Spilling blood of the innocent, then walking on the backs they broke
Giants, walk the earth
Making homes for the rich with the bodies of the poor
Giants, walk the earth
Spilling blood of the innocent, then walking on their broken bones
Giants, walk the earth
Working us like modern slaves, then laughing when we need them most

lengold
this when you sent me an advance copy - still love it now and listen to it often.
Glad you are still here Allen. I guess a lot of people haven't realised this is your new name yet.
Cheers
