Analogapalooza! Cool idea.
This will be my first submission to MacJams.
I can't really pin down the exact date, but this song was created back in about 1993 I think. I was about 17. Back in those days I had a guitar and bass but no drums, nor did I know how to play them. I sometimes put drums on my songs using a cheap keyboard, sometimes I just banged random things around, or sometimes I didn't bother. This is one that doesn't have a drum track. I have always wanted to redo this one (and a bunch of others) but never got around to it yet.
As for genre... I guess it's definitely rock. What else it is, who knows.
So... I have a bunch more like this... Any interest?

Lyrics
Once more like all the others
I guess I know what's wrong
there's nothing new for me to say
she was just like all the others
she didn't stay too long
before going her own way
I wish I knew
Born to suffer alone
not what I mean to say
They'll suffer alone
Not what I mean to say
Together we suffer alone
I'm driving home again
this road is much to long
how come I never see she's right
Yeah I'm going home again
Just like a prison cell
I might as well give up the fight
once more like all the others
I guess you know what's wrong
there's nothing more for me to say
(talk: every time I try it never turns out different I don't know why I bother with any of it anymore I guess I must feel like it's worth the sacrifice but I'm sick of the staring faces, look but they don't see I don't think they care anyway but don't tell them that they'll prefer not to know what they've done or why)

guygrooves
takes me back, especially the hiss lol. You are a much braver man than I. I'm not sure I could upload any of those tracks, although you seemed to have a better handle on how to record on one of those temperamental old machines.
You wrote this at 17, and it shows a great deal of potential, I don't think anything I wrote at 17 could measure up, or if I could even remember any of them. Thanks for sharing this, I might just dig out something I did back in the 90's when those gadgets were the affordable recording studios.
Peace
Guy
