Description:
I wrote this song a while ago, perhaps a year? any way, the original version was full of symphonies, big, heavy drums, and alot of grandure. i took it into logic, stripped it out, added a guitar line over the solo section, and realized this was a really amazing song. i am pleased it came out as good as it did, and i hope you all enjoy it as well.
if anyone wants an mp3 version of this song, please send me a note with an email addy.

Great acoustic sound man. Very rich and full. Like the vox a bunch. I'm curious to hear the big version, too.

Sometimes less is more. Although in this case I don't know whether more sounds better or not, but I do know that here less sounds really good.
The guitar sounds very full and warm and the vocals are very nicely done, especially in the first half. I wasn't sure about the vocals breaking out in the end - I thought it was a bit too much for the sparse acoustic guitar playing. It would probably sound better in the bigger, rockier version.
But nonetheless - a very good track.

i appreciate your opinion on my vocals. the thing about acoustic music is there is a set idea people have about how it should sound. i am not about that set style. my style is emotional based, and used as an instrument much like a guitar or drum set. as a singer, i solo, do fills, and hit loud crash notes.
the reason for the higher notes was the part in the song which reaches a crescendo in the song. the vocals are building to this point, and frankly, if you got it, use it. great guitar players dont hold back just because a certain type of song is supposed to sound subdued. i am not trying to be a dick here, and i hope it does not come across like it, but i wanted it this way, and i wanted ot to be loud, powerful and have a wow factor.
i hope it wowed you.
again, thanks for tkaing the time to have a listen. it means a great deal to me.

Damnit Allen, would you just go out and get famous already? This is an excellent, excellent vocal and the whole thing is just professional in the extreme. You are so in control of everything you're doing here. You're such an artist and I love the little flamenco run. Awesome!

for clearing out my ears.I just got done teaching a (yuck)Daughtry song to a kid.Your singing blew his wimpy pop- metal vocals out of my brain.Great guitar playing as usual.

No doubt...no need of anything more, either...your voice, that powerful steelstring driving it, and the classy solo are just what the doc ordered...
Nice stuff, dude...check out your others, now

I came over to your site as I am loving all the ones you have done with PickQuickRecords. Your voice is amazing. I am definitely not disappointed and I especially love the vocals at the end on this one.

Damn.. damn... damn! Brilliantly done- especially the ending with the high vocal. That is a classic example of what I'd like to (but will NEVER be able to) do with my voice. You are a man of many gifts, Allen. Thank you for this one.

this one was one of the first recordings i mad with my new ibanez acoustic electric, and for garageband, i feel i got a fantastic tone. i remixed this one in logic, and using the huge capabilities therin, got an even bigger sound than i could have hoped for. i hope you will take an ear to some of my other material.
