Description
This is a tune about facing the fact that a dream is over. Sometimes in life, no matter how much we might want something and no matter how much "fate" seems to make your dream seem more like destiny than idle fantasy, reality sometimes shows that it is a case of the latter. That's what this tune is about. I tried to get my acoustic guitar to sound better and more acoustic than electric. Of course I couldn't resist breaking out the strat and letting a little surf kind of a sound in there. Once I did that, I just said f**k it and went for the maximum cheese effect and dropped the pouring rain and thunder sounds in there. They're appropriate- sometimes we all feel that tempest inside and the storms that powerful emotions can unleash. So I guess you could say that this song is just therapy with a guitar. Hopefully it's at least worth a listen. For anyone who's super clever- I insinuated the verse riff of the favorite song of girl that this one is about. You're my hero if you catch it.
