Description
A loop based electronica piece - inspired by far too much caffeine after and abysmal US election. Enjoy and please comment!

man-this is awesome!! everything about this song is so
strong. great mix-some soft stuff in there to bring it
down & then you build it up again. would have liked some
additional fading/panning/etc just to put more of your
touch on things. looking forward to more of your work-

whoa
Thanks for the feedback! This song had the misfortune to be releases concurrently with a very good song in the same genre by a MacJams regular and I feared it was overlooked. I may get back to it to refine it. I seem to move onto new sounds more often than I refine old ones - something I'll have to see about.

This is a great piece
So why do I have such trouble voting for it?

Well, using GB and some loops pack I'm sure you didnt'
program any of the sounds.

If I hear a couple of sounds in a row, is that just a loop or
did it actually involve some creativity?

I love the effects on the sounds. Did you do that or did
they come with the loops?

If all this is your work it deserves a 9 overall. If this is all
loops, a 5 or so, with a 7 overall for the nice way you
stuck them together.

A classic loop argument. The area I'd say loops may effect is creativity. Its generally less creative to utilize other people's playing. That said, the loops were effected, some where shortened or clipped, others transposed (not necessary under Garageband 2 but this was 1) so I do think it took a fair amount of effort on my part. I also feel that it is an art putting a cohesive piece together whether looped or unlooped. I guess performing, you can pretend to be the Beatles, looping you are pretending to be George Martin.

Thanks for elucidating.

In the end I wound up voting 7s across the board, because it's a cool piece
anyway.

Genre Info
Electronic dance music is a broad set of percussive music genres that largely inherit from 1970s disco music and, to some extent, the experimental pop music of Kraftwerk. Such music was originally borne of and popularized via regional nightclub scene
