Everything should have a name. And this piece reminds me of something that doesn't. Like that tree.

And speaks beautifully.
You did a spectacular job here, Shay. Congratulations on this magnificent achievement.

... hauntingly beautiful .... I've been waiting for a new post from you for a while now .... I actually came looking last night - feeling in the mood for a "Kassia" (in case I missed an email notification or something) ... and was saddened by the fact that there was nothing new ... and today .. well now I got my wish didn't I ... this is definitely a D/L and fav for me ! You must have been reading my mind .....

this is just so heartfelt, soulful and real - what a gorgeous piece of music. Maybe someday I'll learn to play piano with this kind of subtlety (I doubt it though). Your orchestration skills are growing by leaps and bounds - I especially love the bell sound - beautifully done - congratulations!

elegant, graceful and tranquil. Lovely heartfelt longing too. Thanks Shay for sharing.

My mouth is wide open, this is so well composed. Beautiful piece of music, so well played and crafted. Wish I could make tracks like this. You are so right, this one speaks for itself, its so expressive. Really well done, brilliant.

Lot of meaning here , very good music .

is so well done. You absolutely get the tone and mood right, and maintain that vibe throughout the piece. Very nice arrangement, and lovely instrumental touches that cradle the piano and enhance the melody. Nothing is overdone. This is superb. Makes me think in passages of Sigur Ros (without the vocals of course!) which is a very good thing in my book. Very, very nice. Kudos. Peace.

depth n controlled emotion....n beautiful playing....marvelous.....!

I keep having to tell myself that, someday I will dare to use it. Until then, you will always be so much better at orchestration and composing than I. Just little bits here and there to propel this forward and cause that aching tension that really catches the attention and won't let go. And then the strong consonantal chords sweep down and create strength and confident power. Nice intro and ending, gently nuanced playing that just flows... sigh. Thank you for the generous download button, so I may add to my Kassia playlist. As always, touching and emotionally moving.

I find this reminiscent of some of Mysti's improvised stuff
Very nice indeed

and then that limpid piano sound. You have really subtle touch that gives such a sense of movement. The orchestration is a perfect accompaniment. I've been absent from MJ for awhile, and now I can hear some of what I've been missing. I'll have to browse a bit to check out your production tools.
Oooo- I like the bell at the end.

Sorry I'm late! This is of course gorgeous and beautiful just like it's author!
Another amazing piece from Kassia...
Thank you so much!

Great dynamics and poise. I love the seconds in the building strings. This piece has both glimmer and shadow - the mark of a wonderful soundscaper!

job of matching the image with the music. It's like the violins are the floating of the mist into the tree area. Quite touching.
IN this piece you really make a statement of how great a picture can be for music!
Enjoy coming to your site and hearing this terrific laid back emotional music which is a style I like a lot. Enjoy the addition of the cello's too.
And the list goes.
This is a real fine contributor Kas for Macjams. Glad I stopped by!!!

This is so beautiful. You did another exceptional job here. Goosebumps galore. I really love this piece. I also love the cellos and strings you added. I wish mine sounded half this good. Gorgeous from start to finish! Thank you for posting it for us.

...no negatives in this beautiful composition and the lush string arrangement you have provided to frame it all. What a somber, peaceful, introspective mood you create here. I love the way you let the strings come out to sing now and again with those arching climbs...Very well-conceived, organic composition. It is a void of sorts that you fill with longing and imagination. This is great writing, Shay. Congratulations on such a stellar track.
Peace.

Unreal. Your stuff speaks to me. Thanks for alerting me via notes that you uploaded this. I regrettably have less and less time for music lately (and it's not a good thing because my stress level and insomnia gets worse and worse as a result...) but to come back for beauty like this makes it all worth it. By the way, I first read the title as "Untied" and it fit both the music and the photo. 'Course then I realized I need to wear my glasses when I'm on the computer, and it's still beautiful -- untitled or not.
Ethos_Phree
spectacular. i am really impressed with the restraint it's played with. it sounds like there's a lot moving around beneath the surface and the emotions never quite spill over the top...kinda hard to explain but you nailed it. incredible music.
egobandit
for me it was a motivator. thanks
Wow, after the first few notes played I knew I was going to like this. Outstanding composition!

beautiful and moving. You have a unique way of conveying such feeling through each touch of the keys, melancholy and sad, but i love a piano to sound like that. sorry this passed me by.
Einarus
Not that the name would actually stain this beautiful piece of work - just that it doesn't need one to deliver.
Because this delivers effectively and beautifully.
I love your sparse instrumentation here. You let the piano do all the talking and boy, does it have a beautiful voice. Is this the JP Steinway?
If so, great job in bringing out the feeling in it.
If not - still a great job.
I'm a sucker for sweet, melancholy piano pieces so it's no surprise that this is going to my iTunes library.
Beautifully done.
