Lyrics:
FORTUITOUS STORM____________________________________
You must think that my love for you's insane
and the beat of this heart won't skip, never wane
don't you feel that this fragile heart just might
break
when besieged by pain, will I regret that mistake
Do you ever think that I will cry in the rain
just because you gave up my love for all that's
mundane
How much despair and more tears will it take
before the ground of my faith starts to shake
The cycle of deceit has become so vicious
this coming storm feeling very fortuitous
I thought that we could make destiny wait
but the moment of truth is here, it's too late
Do you ever think that I will cry in the rain
just because you gave up my love for all that's
mundane
How much despair and more tears will it take
before the ground of my faith starts to
shake...yeaaahh
(Break)
The cycle of deceit has become so vicious
this coming storm feeling so fortuitous
I thought that we could make destiny wait
but the moment of truth is here, it's too late
(Break)
You must think that my love for you's insane
and the beat of this heart won't skip, never wane
don't you feel that this fragile heart just might
break when besieged by pain, will I regret that mistake
Do you ever think that I will cry in the rain
just because you gave up my love for all that's
mundane
How much despair and more tears will it take
before the ground of my faith starts to shake

Good to hear from you. You guys sound excellent together. There is already a lot of polish on this one, so if your looking for CD quality sound you are well on your way. The power guitars and soaring lyrics are especially good.
Thanks

Excellent lyrics & Singing, but then hey, it's Leon :-) Leon, you really let loose and sound emphatic and natural here. Music is really nicely put together, inventive and fresh in ways but still reminiscent of the 80s. Guitar work is really solid and well-played. Loved the little synth solo, made me smirk. Mixing here is to be noted... wow... trying to get each instrument (including voice) to stand out when you have the gritty noisy distorted guitars is a feat of magic, you did an excellent job, Michael. Stunning work of art here guys.

Was it from you a while back? The guitars drive so hard on this you just can't help but get up and move with it.
Don't listen to Char!!! The vocals are excellent! (sorry Char... you are great!)
The mix in general is wonderful. The guitar work in the middle is stellar.
This is a killer super good tune! I've heard it before... It's better now...
Did Buckethead do the lead!? Pretty sizzling fast!
Char
asked me to listen, he also asked for criticism. I thought he wouldn't buy, "Man, this is perfect." It was tongue in cheek, actually and honestly. I can't get over how this just rocks. :)
ktb
what a treat. Leon's vocals fit like a glove here. Showing once again the man can sing to practically any style, and absolutely shine. The guitar solo was phenom. Loved the doubling effect at the front end. Super song writing. Hope you guys decide to collab some more

egobandit

Cori Ander
Wow so uplifting! And what a production. So well produced and still so full of juice. To me this sounds totally professional. At the same time it holds a great catching and uplifting energy from start to end. Not a dull moment!
Vocals and guitar work are topnotch. A great addition to my music collection. Thank you!
kristyjo
Leon can really sing, Ric can really play that guitar, and Michael can really mix! And the great thing, is, that it just rocks!
ziti
Not my style or anything, but very well done...but there is thing that really strikes me as wrong....but it could just be me...when the vocals start...the music and melody are in a minor key...when the rock guitar part comes in under the singing, it is playing a major key riff, while you continue to sing the minor key melody....i would work on that rock guitar line there to make it a minor sound....but man, this track shows a ton of work and is very well done...the guitar playing is skilled for sure, altho the style is not one i particularly care for, it is very very well executed.
I am glad that I took the time to check this song out...it was very entertaining.
deep bows to you!!

This Freakin' Rockz!!!!
Awesome collab!!!
Thanks for directing me here!!
I'm downloading it!!
You guys just gotta do another one!!
LunaTrick
Rocking song - very professional - nice guitar work. Vocals are Queenish - dualing maiden guitars - and melodic!
jiguma
I agree with everyone above - tight, great Leon vocal, musically tight and well recorded. I do have a nit though - there's a soft, offbeat (even out of time maybe?) cymbal or synth hit in the right hand channel that jars a bit - mainly in the early verses. If its something that's supposed to be there, I'd make a feature of it somewhere so it doesn't sound out of place.
I think Ric's solo is a bit slow ;)
Top post gents!

The X-me would be proud. The guitars, in particular the harmony leads, are superb. There's a very interesting syncopated cowbell-ish thing in there... adds a little touch, a small, extra dimension without being distracting. Hopefully it'll throw-off Magneto's concentration.
PrototypeEightyOne
nice track, well put together and produced...you have a good voice, keep it up..i'll be looking out for others.
Leon
Hey, guys... especially to Michael. Sorry for the delayed response here. :-( I've been in quite a mess lately so I've been AWOL for almost 5 months (last time I visited here was almost 5 months ago). I'm trying to get back into action, and I hope my troubles are all behind me.
Thanks for all the generous comments posted here thus far. Michael made a real gem out of this song. My vocals and lyrics was just a little addition to what was already an impressive soundbed. The bass guitar overlay is just magnificent, and Michael's mix is pro-level impressive. The pleasure and honor was mine working with both MVH and Ric Stehman, Jr.
Char
It is a real privilege to hear you. I believe I'll always have a special place in my heart for this song and your performance. Thanks.
awigze
very well thought out and great guitar(s) one of my favs!
Pete_NB
This one sounds good enough to get you guys together in a room for a week. It's a solid core of a song and some talented performing. Just some ever so slight niggles in a couple of spots that keep this just shy of perfection.
Freakin' great guys. I listened through a couple of sections around 10 times each here.
J-Roe
This is beautiful. Just hits the spot! The lyrics... everything just perfect. You have such a gift!
Ed Hannifin
Fully professional. Ooutrageously great guitar tones, both on the main riff and then, differently, on the solo section. Bits of Brian May to that... A really strong lead vocal... The whole performance is tight and right there...
Ed
Char
That's right. I had to get my fix of this song, again. Ahhh, all better , now! Thanks!

I like the clean recording and the sound of the instruments which are well played.
Thanks for posting.
maxjsl37
Sounds great! Love the guitar and singer! Who is the singer? I want to hire him! Awsome mix! Anything you do with my song will be a definite improvment! LOL
Patriotpizzaman
Can't over state the fact that you guys really hit this one out of the ballpark! What an excellant colab. Lost in all the incredible performances and stellar production is, the excellant song Mike wrote that Leon and Ric had the luxury of contributing to. Great job Mike!
mvh9591
Dave, Leon Wrote and arranged and sang the lyrics. Ric wrote and performed his lead and triple lead guitars. I only laid the bed for these guys to make this what it is. (Well, I spent mega hours mixing and mastering everything - I suppose that counts for something) :)
Thanks Pizzaman Dave,
mvh : )

Every now and then, one comes across a song that opens with the promise of some hot chops and guitar licks, and just when you're about to get it on, the vocals come in and totally destroy the groove. That did NOT happen here--the vocals worked extremely well (nice job!) and the whole song never let up from start to finish. Good work here!
Mystified
...but glad I caught this one at last.
Superfine collaboration! Ditto to all the positive comments, above. :)
LunaTrick
BUt this is really well done... well recorded and produced... with nice part writing.

I really like the mix of sounds and the main guitar riff!
