Description:
My play on roots R&B, Soul. The first half of the words come from a dear friend ALBAZUL, (her nom de plume), a math-english teacher at a high school in Puebla Mexcio. The second half are my first run thru words w/ impromptu, which worked, to give it some added length as a song. I really, really, Really would appreciate some comments.

Lyrics:
The lyrics i'm afraid went away with an iSeizure where I lost most everything GB. But you can hear the words pretty clearly.

Hardware:
an iThing

Software:
GB stuff and a now dull pencil

Retro sweet &mdash 11/10/04 - 07:18:25 AM
Something very smooth and casual and absolutely retro
sweet about this track. Really like the sound, the old
album quality to the textures. The piano playing isn't
exactly Motown, but the bass playing and drumming are
classic (until the break where they cut off a moment,
sounding a bit like a loop stoppage). The ending is a bit
too loose for me, however; its nice to end with at least the
vocals being sung together more precisely. The vocals are
the real highlight, tho, nice stylings and harmony stabs.
They may be a bit loud, and a moment for a solo
instrument would be nice, but this is a very successful
retro R&B tune.

I think you have a great song. I feel the vocals are the
strong part. Having said this I feel they (vocals) are used
excesively.
Half the amount of singing would give me a space to want
to hear the singing again instead of feeling the song to be
too saturated with it. Your singing is great in this
song...use it wisely.
Hearing your other songs I know you are good with piano
loops....piano can play a role in the gaps and then go
background when vocals come in.
Would like a longer intro specially with that baseline goin
on (gives it a rootsy underlay) for a bit longer and then
have the band do their thing a bit before the singing...
Make sense?
bueno amigo djeme decirle que esta es una
naisuan.

Thanks John for the your commments. Will make no justification for my
actions in the productions of this as I can not do anything now to change
some of what the both of you suggested. The file on this all went by, by
to some issue starting with DS.Stores and the other like ilk that up load,
(install without permission) the pop add programs in the public at large
computers.

I'm glad you like it in leu of the short entro and the other nits you picked
up on. All this imput should make the next one that much better.
Thanks for the frankness. I do appreciate it.

Hi Regulus!!!... &mdash 11/13/04 - 09:46:09 AM
Hola Regulus... amigo... cmo ests?... Nuevamente gracias y muchas felicitaciones...

Best Regards
Arturo Jimnez

Very enjoyable listen
I think the piano could come up a bit in parts.
The lyrics seem to me to make the song a bit of a rythmic
challenge for the singer. Harmonies could be thicker
imho.
thanks for sharing
P.S.
I listened to this a short time after your kind words
regarding my second musical dissemination back in
February. I could swear that I had left comments for you.
Though, it's not the first time that my comments didn't
get through, oh well. Not to digress but just something of
an apology for not appearing to respond in kind to your
visit. Off to listen to some more of your stuff
cheers
