Hey, quite nice first stuff!
First of all, welcome to Macjams... I think you'll enjoy it here. Secondly, very impressive first bunch of pieces, congratulations. I like this one... it isn't just a tick-tock, but you have a good sense for when to transition back and forth between your two different theme-lets, and you did a great job stitching together the drum-work, so it isn't just a long single loop. Sounds like you have a good sense for arranging, this has a freshly unique feel to it... I would never have come up with this from the GB loops, very inventive. It almost has a Bolero feel. You avoided the Kitchen-Sink Affliction of trying to throw everything in, this is clear and nicely mixed. You've separated (panned) the instruments apart but maintained balance... dunno, sounds really impressive to me! If you've just started, then you are learning fast.
ttfn,
Drakonis

Cool
Hey, thank you Drakonis - what awesome compliments. I honestly didn't know what kind of responses I was gonna get and so far, everyone has been so cool and welcoming and doesn't make me feel like some idiot chasing a far fetched dream. You all inspire me want to keep going and I have a deep appreciation for that. Also, I'm totally enjoying hearing everyone's creations on here...so glad I ran into this place! I'm going check yours out now, can't wait.

Excellent tune.
I'm very easy-going on loop users, since I ONLY use loops myself. Doing it for close to 5 years now (yes, using GB on MJ for that long almost), I can say it is a fun ride. Enjoy!

Thanks Mr. D
Thank you a million times, especially for the loop comment. I am envious of those who can compose on their own but I'm workin' with what I got so far. I look forward to hear what you're doing with the loops as well!!

Tick Tock
This is a very nicely produced piece! Wow, to get so many different styles to work together, you must have a great ear! Well done!

So glad
you like it, much appreciated Ramona! I don't know, I just like mixing it up, ya know? Might be a little weird but it just seems to fall together somehow, in the end.

Complete
This is superbly crafted and is a seemless mix of loops. Interesting classical groove you have going on with this one.

very cool arrangement...
I dig your use of cinematic elements in your music. I'm just now checking out your tracks, and I gotta say I've been missing out. you've got a great talent for arrangement as I've heard so far. your music would fit well in a soundtrack, which I dig that style a lot. great work, looking forward to listening to the rest of your tracks.

I get a
"Peter and the Wolf" sense of urgency from your sounds. Searching, searching... but, for what, or who? Maybe, for the rest of the piece, where the object of the hunt is discovered and then cherished or decimated? Thank you.
