Yet again have I dropped the ball, participation-wise. I've said a number of times now that I'm coming back full time, but I just can't seem to keep my promise.
I can promise you, however, that I will try and keep uploading something here every now and then and of course I'll try to write a comment or two whenever I find the time.
This song is just a little piece of fun I whipped up. I thought I could use some fun to forget about the severe economic crisis we have here in Iceland, and I hope it takes your minds off whatever problems you might be having - if only for a few minutes.

This was fun. Thanks for sharing it. It sounds like theme music to a TV show. I hope things go better for Iceland (and the rest of the world) soon.

This is brimming with good feeling. It has kind of a 'retro' feel; reminds me a bit of 70's TV shows (i.e., Magnum P.I.), but not in any direct way, just in the overall feel.
It sure seems like hard times for Iceland right now; I really feel for you guys, and, like chipan, I hope that good times return very soon for your country.

I always enjoy your songs, whether they be cool colabs with Ziti or fun pieces like this. Always very enjoyable, so thanks for sharing here with us all. Just a little Q: Do you play the synthy melody "live" and/or do you edit a lot afterwards? With the bends and stuff it sounds rather direct, but there seems to be no "mistakes", so I just wondered... ;-)
Cheers,

Thank you very much for your kind comment!
The synth lines were basically played live, but then cleaned up afterwards. So I can't promise that I could play it exactly like that live :)
Thanks!

fun indeed

There is a teeny hint of thoughtfulness, but mostly this soars with hope and high-stepping good vibes... excellent composition, and great choices on the piano backing and cutting synth lead voice... it bites through but isn't abrasive... love the portamento and liveliness this is played with. It will always be good to see you, whenever you get a chance to pop in and say hi, Einar! This is what the world needs now, is a smile for the tough times.

...you're one of the MacJams synth composers whose stuff I particularly enjoy... Your stuff sounds grounded in a synth tradition without seeming like it's just the same ol' bleeps and hoots; your timbres are well chosen or well crafted. And you've got a definite feel for pop rhythm and pop melody...
I could easily imagine someone singing to your melody line here, and that always seems like a good thing to me...

It's great seeing an instrumental track that for once has an actual melody, something that you can sing, rather than just arpeggiated chords.
This is very catchy and great fun to listen to.
