Description:
I played this for some friends when I thought it was done, and they all said there was something missing. It contains a sample of an Indian lady singing a Punjabi folk song; sample of a sitar drone; two tabla samples I believe from GB maybe from elsewhere; my own beat; and a double bass sample, also I believe from GB.
Anyway, it does need at least one thing, maybe several. Maybe some more thumping, singing, guitar, sitar, rapping, synth, tuba, I don't know.
I think there's lots of things one could do with this with a little imagination. Individual tracks available upon request.
I probably shoulda said this sooner but it's at 89 bpm.

I really enjoyed this, didn't really seem to be lacking much though...
kind of a meditative quality to it. sounds great. it will be interesting to see if anyone beefs it up though!

I've repeatedly added and removed other things from this, none to my satisfaction. It just seems like there could be something better and different about it. This is a great forum for getting other perspectives. Thanks for the comment.

I like this. This was done with GB? Nice work. Maybe needs brighter EQing. I wouldnt mind reworking this but its pretty cool as is.

I'm still working on the fine details of mixing songs down. The equalizer functions are my next learning chapter. Yes, Garageband has its limitations, but there's still a lot to do within.
Please mess with this. I think Indian music still has a vast unexplored frontier in electronica. It's been used a bunch, but it's boundaries are still far off.
So, I posted this to see where others see possibilities with it.
