Description:
OK, here is a even more updated version of the song. this is me, Jim Bouchard, getting carried away. I originally was going to add just mandolin, but I picked up the charango first. It has a similar sound but different voicing so it's a bit different. I also added an Ultrabeat drum kit track to add a bit more of an electronic edge to the rhythm. I also thought that there needed to be some breaks in it as it was a bit too repetitive, and so I chopped the original track up a bit and put in some stops. Then I added the mandolin. Then I added kalimba and marimba software instruments in parts and when I got to the bridge I stuck in an arrangement for clarinet, french horn and trumpet. In other words I already went way overboard, probably and before I add a harmonica solo (my latest brainstorm), I decided to post it as it is. Sorry, Nolan!

I'm really enjoying playing around with this excellent song! The question is whether I added too much.

charango, mandolin

A beauty.
This is a beautiful song. It seems to be getting carelessly overlooked. ?? The vocals are wonderful, and maybe get a bit too much competition from the accompaniment.

Classic
In my head I can hear a whole load of different versions of this song which I think denotes a classic song but the fact that you've avoided using the normal guitars leading the tune it takes it all to another level.
Very good.
Like it a lot

Excited
Jim, I'm really excited about this. Sorry for the late reply. Crazy week - haven't been near the computer. What a surprise. Thanks heaps for all the work you've done here. I'll definitely be using some of this. I love the picking your doing in the verses. Really creates a different feel which I love! We'll talk more...
