Description:
Since Halloween is nearly upon us I thought I'd revisit one of my old songs for a little bit of a redo and post it as a Halloween trick, or treat. I guess whether it's a trick or a treat would depend on whether or not you like the new version.
Hope you enjoy the new version of "The Werewolf Baby", and happy Halloween.

Verse 1
There's a werewolf baby, knockin' on your door
He looks like a man be, but he's evil to the core
He's got a hungry look, and his eyes are fixed on you
He's a werewolf baby better watch out what you do
Chorus
A creature of habit, sleeps until noon
But when he's on the prowl he likes to howl at the moon
A werewolf baby, and he's commin' after you
Break
Verse 2
He's a sly one baby, He's good at slippin' around
He's tried every woman, in this whole damn town
He's got a hot-rod Ford, and A thousand dollar suit
He's a hungry little devil, and he's waitin' to feed on you
Chorus
A creature of habit, sleeps until noon
But when he's on the prowl he likes to howl at the moon
A werewolf baby, and he's commin' after you
Tag lines:

I always figured this one to be a real rocker, but the first version was pretty tame. I decided that for Halloween this year, I'd try to fix that situation, and I think I've got it cooking on all burners now.
Thanks for stopping in to listen, and for the great comments my friend, it really is appreciated.
Be well and be cool Bill,

Washed up? I think you should give your self a lot more credit. Great playing. Great song.

Well my friend, let's put it this way. Doing this in the studio i one thing, but if I had to do it on stage, that's not going to happen any more.
But I still have the music in me and I really like bringing these old songs of my into the 21st century, even if it seems like they were written in the 19th, or is that 18th century. I'm getting so old I can't remember anymore.
It's like "Been there, done that, can't remember, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, thanks again for listening and for the kind words Miche, really glad you liked the song. I do appreciate you taking time to lend encouragement through your comments.
Be well and be cool my friend,

And I even combed my hair. Well, what hair I have left anyway.
Thanks Cast, I appreciate the listen and the very cool comments. Just trying to dress the old scarecrow up in a new suit so he'll be ready for his big date with the corpse bride on Halloween this year.
Glad you liked the new treatment on this old song of mine my friend. Thanks again for the kind words.

Be afraid, very afraid. Are ya scared yet ? How about now ? Oh well, so much for my spooky Halloween tricks.
Thanks for the kind words my friend, and for listening, it is really appreciated. Glad you enjoyed the remake on this old song. I wanted to build a fire under it, but the Fire Marshal wouldn't give me a permit so I had to do it on the sly.
Be well and be cool Joe,

Glad you enjoyed the song. Thanks again for the kind words of encouragement, and for stopping in to listen.
Oh, about that listening. I wouldn't listen to this on Halloween night, or any other night where there's a full moon.

Really glad you stopped in to listen my friend and enjoyed the song. Thanks again for the encouragement and kind words, they mean a lot to me.
If you get the urge to play this one on Halloween, by all means do. I doubt it will scare anyone, but it might cause them to laugh a bit. Then the party will turn into a contest to see who's the biggest Werewolf there. It'll be like telling fishing stories, ya know. Who caught the biggest fish and all those other whoppers.
Have fun, happy Halloween and be cool man.

Yeah, I'm reaching back into my past now and trying to bring these tired old songs into the 21st century. On some it works well, on others it doesn't work at all. This one, I think I heated it up about as far as I can without a total remake. But it's working for me so I guess that's what counts
Thanks again for listening and for the kind words Feter, it is very much appreciated.
Be well and be cool,

It's an oldie but a goodie, at least it is now that I've brought it into the 21st century.

Hi Dick,
Glad you enjoyed the song and especially the guitar parts.
Most of the new guitar parts added on top of the original tracks are loops. There's a few that are actually mine, but only a few.
The original track is hiding underneath all the additions, but you can hear it poking through every now and again. Of course the vocal is on the original tracks so you hear it all the time.
It was hard finding the right balance between getting enough volume on the vocal without bringing it up so much that the old tracks came through too much with it.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the updated version, and I appreciate you listening and commenting on it my friend.

Some very nice blues rock playing here. Enjoyable as always.

Glad you stopped in for a listen and liked the song. It's an old one that I reworked to build a fire under it, and I think it's were it needs to be now. The earlier version was too lame and tame, this one is neither.
Thanks, again for listening and the kind words my friend.

What can I say, it's an old song I doctored up in Logic with some new additions. Some mine, and some loops, but the net effect is the song sounds much better than it did before, and for that I'm grateful.
Glad you stopped in to have a listen my friend and I do appreciate the kind words. I'm also glad you enjoyed this new version, and want to thank you again for listening.
Be well and be cool Bob,

I think your only allowed to do one Werewolf song per century. Some kind of federal law about it I think.

I want to slink out onto the dance floor and bait a trap for the wolfie guy. Tasty. Thanks!

Better be careful there girl, he's a pretty smooth operator, don't ya know. Of course, on the other hand, maybe he's the one who needs to be careful with you "slinkin" out there with who knows what on your mind once you trap him.. lol
Thanks for the listen and the kind words Char. Glad you enjoyed the song.

Hot licks and I love the straight ahead bass during the leads. Excellent!
sloparts
Yeah, about that bass. I couldn't think of any better way to push the song into overdrive than that straight up hard hitting bass line. It gives the break a whole new dimension.
Thanks for listening my friend, and the great comments. Glad you enjoyed the new version.
