Description
Im now in a songwriters group, where we push each other to write a song within a time period..well we were ROCKING for awhile but hit a slump, SO we decided to do a collaboration...one guy wrote all the music then sent it out..I grabbed it..it was supposed to be about politics..I started thinking about the American Eagle, and the Canadian beaver, and for some reason men in black suits...then a boat sailed by my window in the fog (it looked as if it were flying) and from there the song transformed into a trippy hippy like tune... all the vocals and lyrics are me... the music is NOT so I cant allow uploading, I`ll keep it online here for a few weeks to let a few hear it then I`ll have to take it down....ENJOY

Lyrics
summer days are nearly gone and the leaves all start to turn
looking through my window pane as the hooka starts to burn
banana boats all painted red, floating by in skies of grey
smell the rain n feel the wind as it blows the sun away

and here it comes just more of the same
the infinate norm theres no one else to blame

now and then I take a trip lying on my bedroom floor
men in suits with lying eyes knocking on my paisley door
try to sell me feilds of green in blue waters that are clear
but all they really care about is decent fiscal year

and here it comes just more of the same
the infinate norm theres no one else to blame

ahhh ahhh more the same ahhh ahhh

once again the rabbit runs back into his hiding hole
up above the eagle hunts with his covered eyes of gold
the beaver built the largest dam to keep the waters high
the spider climbs the spotted shroom to rest until the night

Cool
Great song writing and performance. Is their a bass played on this? I hear hints of it now and then but not all the time. It could probably use a little goosing to bring it more into the picture.

Enjoyed it all the same!

Thanx guys
yes thats a banjo, and there is a faint bass line back there, it was supposed to be a colaboration and the bass player opted to leave the original bass track... I jumped all over this one by writing the lyrics and singing lead and both the backing vocals... BUT, I learned, that when doing a collaboration, I should let EVERYONE have a go at it...then again, once I finished, I sent out all the tracks, so if someone wanted to add (or subtract) a track they totally could have...
