You can sure play a lot of instruments! This is very pretty. I love the celtic sound. Listening around midnight through headphones, well balanced and sweet.

"thank you" to you Roxylee.

Now this is a real suprise ...a recorder ? wow Jack ..
o yeah what a trippy celtic dance ..loved the tone of
the guitar ...just total folky here ...very very
spiritual and progressive specially the guitar !!!!
what a gem thank you for sharin !!!!
Dadai.2
A recorder... not much of a stretch from clarinet and saxophone to a recorder, really. But I'm glad you're surprised! The guitar is my 28 year old inexpensive Applause, tuned in DADGAD. That old axe has served me well.
Thanks Feter, glad to have your comments and friendship.

Celtic, with a little sixties hippie folk feel, I think. Not that I was part of that era, mind you :)
Very gentle and flowing. Music to close my eyes and sway along with. You really mesh those synth instruments in well with the acoustic ones. Really lovely.
Dadai.2
I would have picked that as the genre if it was offered. Alas.
You commented, "Really lovely." That does it for me. Thanks Kristy.

Like the pan flute type sound or should I say Alto Recorder. Not sure the difference. But anyway thanks for sharing.
My mind keeps waiting to hear that Jack Miller voicing, but the Jack of All Trades comes through nice and clear !
Cool ending too !

You are quite a guy. Talent oozing out of your pores. And you take the time to comment on so many songs... like mine. I can only say thanks for your comments. I wish that one day we could meet and talk and play a song or two together. Until then...

This is going to be the third version of this on my computer...heh! The original, my version, and now yours. Nice additions to the original track. Don't know if you ever listened to my version - might be nice to blend the two together - what do you think? http://www.macjams.com/song/17085
Dadai.2
I sent you a note earlier. To follow up... if you want to do something with this version then certainly feel free to do so (if that is what you were implying).
It's just music, eh?
thanks
Man I love this tune! Gorgeous guitar playing! Nice job on the recorder too!
Glad you came back to us my friend!
Be well!

Thanks Mike. This has always been a song I felt hit a certain spot... for me at least. I think this version steps it up a notch.

this is the kind of music i don't get to hear enough of.
The mix is kind of subdued though, i think you could make the whole thing a lot more present. When was the original recorded?
dl'd thanks!

I like that arpeggiated bit of something in the left channel...if it was there before, I didn't notice it...
I'll confess I was a little worried there'd be too much stuff on this and it'd get too cluttered, but you've kept it nicely spare, with everything having its space and its turn...
Still gorgeous and hypnotic...

Me be liking all of what I've heard of your musings, so far. I'm wondering if you'd let me futz w/ one of these golden ditties, at some point. Yeah, I know... I wasn't supposed to do that publicly and you'd think I would have stopped myself by now but, there you have it...
Thanks, again! Macca
Dadai.2
futz away if you'd like. Just keep me posted.
We all intersect at a certain point... a point human and, I dare say, a point divine.

...this is wonderful. I didn't know you had the recorder under your belt, there. I l-o-v-e the recorder. How sweet the sound...
Love this, Jack...so patient and full...great builds...
Dadai.2
Bob, nice of you to listen in. This song came out of some noodling in DADGAD tuning. I had no idea where it was going as I just kept adding parts. The recorder? If you can play clarinet and tenor sax, the recorder is not much of a leap. But I did have to adjust and edit a few out of tune notes... heheh.
You like this? Makes me glad.

Love the recorder on this. I close my eyes and the rolling hills appear to go on forever.

until now, but, I love Celtic more than anything else. This was very slow to start, but I was rewarded for my patience when the recorder was introduced. It is perfectly gorgeous. If I didn't currently have a throat that only Tallulah Bankhead would love, I would have been trilling along. Sorry that it took me so long to find this. Thank you.
