Description:
A cheery little number about depression. A friend was talking about the song Old man river and the line 'tired of living, and scared of dying' which struck a chord. And then a random text rant from my missus gave me the title.
The music was co written with my mate Chris Knapman.
Last few lines come from Rolf Harris.
Chuck it all in and see what comes out.
Hope you like it.

Lyrics:
It’s all for oneand none for all
You’re sick to death
and sick of it all
Jealousies that breed contempt
Struggling to pay the rent
Absolution
Nothing is right
Everything’s wrong
Old man river
Sing a long
Everything’s wrong
Nothing is right
Losing the will
to put up a fight
Absolution
Nothing is right
everything’s wrong
Sunrise come every morning
bringing in the day

I seem to have a strange wish to write catchy songs..with miserable lyrics.

I almost fell over when I read the hardware description lol. I have an Aria Pro ll as well. I love the old girl. Mine is Cardinal Series I've had it 20 years. It will get a complete over haul soon. I digress.
I am thankful for your visit to my latest, I found this great song because of it. This hits on all cylinders with me, totally worth the download and regular rotation in my itunes.
Peace

I'm a huge fan of big chords and jangly guitar and this has both mixed in with some super catchy melody.Great tune.

This should do it ........to end the malaise.
Forgive and move on and to your surprise, the weight and pain is gone.
It can be that simple, just like in this song.
Nice one and nice hook.

Full and rich. Do you think Robbie Williams would be interested in this one?
Why not?

If he's willing to give me some of the huge advance he got off sony I might consider ;-)
I get the feeling he goes through his songwriters like his pants.
Anyway, I digress.
Thanks for dropping in and enjoying
cheers

You're a star.
Glad you liked it.
Thank you

Sounds good, with good, strong classic instrumentation! I love the way you sing with a snarl in your voice - it keeps the 'downer' lyrics from sounding self-pitying, and is more of a defiant sound. Then the 'Sunrise' coda makes me feel like you'll end up all right.

great uptempo feel.
i really like this!

Definitely some great lyrics here. The arrangement is nice also. I would also have to agree with Feter on the D Gilmour feel. Great stuff.

I read your comment last night and spent most of the time imagining what it would be like if Morrisey did join the Who. I guess this is what it would sound like ;-)
Thanks for dropping in and your comments

beat, drums and bass that work through this. The vocals are great as usual my friend! The song rocks on beautifully!

Sounds like some of the baggy stuff I used to like back in the day! Sounds like the missus gives you a lot of earache!!!! But it it leads to great songs like that, tell her to start ...

The word just came up and it stuck..and that was before Muse wrote a song of the same name.
I'm currently writing a couple of songs with lyrics written by her so look out for those.
She wrote the words for Jukebox one of my other songs,
Thanks for dropping in and your comments

Some reason I imagine the starting with a bright steel pedal guitar sound.
It's a catchy song and I bet this would sound great live too.
