Description:
Song about fear.
Lyrics:
I'm only going awaybut in a week I'll be back
with 100 grand
and a cadilac
but aint no reason to be afraid
you take care of our child
in this godless world
and when I return
we'll find out if its a boy or a girl
but aint no reason to be afraid
now I lay you down
as always half-asleep
shoulder to shoulder
I tell the story you need
there aint no reason to be afraid
well you wake up first
to catch a breath outside
set my juice on the kitchen counter
then start to cry
but aint no reason to be afraid
come on you can say it with me

This is one of the better songs I've heard on here. The guitar is great, but I especially like the higher pitched instrument -- is that a key or is it an electric guitar? That's the soul of the song.
And your voice sounds like a deeper Tom Petty. Or a combo of Tom Petty & the guy from the National.
This could be a great sing along if you ever perfromed live...

It's an electric piano. Glad you like it. Thanks for the listen.

Hey Jason, NICE first post and welcome. A lot of raw character here; and I'm with SK on the Tom Petty reference. Keep'm comin!

You pick interesting topics to write about, and approach them from novel angles. I'm diggin' it!

Nice tune. Your voice really makes this. I like the rawness of the whole song. The guitar is pushing the limits of overdrive. Like it though.
