Her Startled Return (w/ Luna Trick)

Description
Music by EZamor
Vocals by LunaTrick

Luna Trick has added his awesome chops and evocative lyrics to my backing track.

I loved EZ's brooding soundtrack and tried to create something dreamy, visionary, haunting, with a sort of unexplained notion of regret. Here, the lovers are torn apart - and their returns to each other are startling - but it is not clear in what capacity or in what world they co-exist.

Lyrics
The pigeons are startled when the shadows fall
The arrows are raining from the archer's wall
My dreams are distracted by a haunted face
My weapons discarded by your ghost's embrace

My spirit is bracing with an endless yearn
I find it enchanting, your startled return

The Peasants are dancing on a moon-blanched field
The moments are silver where the memories yield
My hope is caught waning as the sunlight comes
Our silhouette fading in a night undone

My spirit is bracing with an endless yearn
I find it enchanting, your startled return

You know where you were going
And you had to go alone
I couldn't change that, knowing
That my heart would turn to stone

My spirit is bracing with an endless yearn
I find it enchanting, your startled return

The devil's beguiling with one last kiss
The statues all smiling with their breath remiss
My heart beats in sorrow in its stony tomb
I wait for tomorrow and your touch of doom

My spirit is bracing with an endless yearn
I find it enchanting, your startled return
My spirit is bracing with an endless yearn
I find it enchanting, your startled return
My spirit is bracing with an endless yearn
I find it enchanting, your startled return

Your startled return
Your startled return
Your startled return

Pleasure to work w/you
This is one of EZ's many quality tracks. The mood and tone of the track brought forth the inspiration for the lyrics. I also used some of Char's poem posted on the original track.

love the beginning, and it's a touch of genius how it drops to that organ sound and the clicking synth when the vox come in. you guys would have been huge in this era. very impressive work, vocals, lyrics, melody and that oh so lush production. great work boys.

Well now .....
.. what comes to my mind here is a `Bowie-ish`sound ..... you two make natural collab partners ..... which is why the tune works well ...... (and I am guessing that Char will be pleased as well) ......

Nice
Nice tune. Some really nice sounds happening. I think you could take this to another level yet by adding some guitars to add a bit more texture. Then again I'm a guitar player so I'm a biased. :-) Good song!!
