Description:
I have many of these short little themes that doesn't tend to ever become anything more than short little themes. Oftentimes I feel motivation to make recordings of them and publish them instead of having them dying "in the drawer". Instead of trying to make perfect recordings I choose to make it quick or else I'll never get them out. Here is one.

The photo is showing a flower I found this passed summer.

Your
playing on this reminds me of the incredible musical variety and expressiveness available in a seemingly simple framework. You've got the touch!

Soul music
Very pretty, soulful, and, to me at least, a little sad.

Interesting that your breathing can be heard... one of the things I used to try to impart to my guitar students was the importance of breathing along with the music, as if you were singing it, or playing it on a wind instrument, and it sounds to me like that's exactly what you're doing. It's very expressive playing.

haha .. thanks a lot Clark .. never thought of that, rather i got disturbed from hearing that i have got the breath on the recording .. i have glasses sometimes when reading and obviously forgot to take them off before recording .. when they sit a bit out on my nose my breath get a bit hindered :-)

A sweet treat
Please don't let amu die in the drawer... I'd love to hear more of these. As to making the perfect recording, ego usually preempts inspiration and passion suffers. Only God is perfect, and I think He quite enjoyed this one.

La Vida Breve
This has a bit of a Spanish feel, and a lot of you in it. This is a heart-wrenchingly beautiful tune, I can see why it needed to be expressed and released. I also tend to agonize over a little tune, realizing how much work there is to build it into a bigger piece. Sometimes, just a few little variations and it is fine as-is... and this one is strong enough to stand as-is. Of course, it helps to have it played and recorded so masterfully.

Drakonis

Well if this is imperfect...
then I have a lot more to learn than I thought! :)

This is beautiful and like Drak says... A little Spanish in places.

Well Done
This little Fingerpick is fantastic. I'm not a huge instrumental person for whatever reason but this was a very passionate piece. I understand the spanish feel that Drak talks about but also see a Russian Expressive Dance to this. Call me crazy, but either way, I liked it.

Looks like lavender
Expressive style and harmonious playing. It could be the bee's tune as he feeds on the nectar.

Dreamy
with a touch of Spain, a lullaby that has a feel of a ticking clock in the background. Makes me think of time and timelessness. Vary, very pretty tune, Johannes.:-)

Beauty
This is a pure and pleasant performance. Things roll along nicely in the pocket and I really like your phrasing. There is some magic in the notes you allow to sustain.

Glad you let this one see the light of day!

The length of the composition...
...is just right, to my ear. I like short tunes. If it's meant to be longer, I'm sure you'll come back to it. Or someone will write a theme and variations.

Fine tune, Johannes...and beautifully played.

Reminds me of the best...
...among my John Renbourn CD's, especially some of the songs on The Black Balloon...

As Mark says, you've got the touch...

beautiful!
this is a complete piece, in the classical styles.

you could certainly make a collection of these to publish.

I'm always looking for beautiful instrumentals to listen to while working. this is perfect, not to mention it's just my style in terms of bittersweet theme.

thanks!

and P.S. actually, having been exposed lately to Manuel de Falla's music, I can imagine an operatic soprano or somebody singing over this like an angel.

Lullaby
It was discovering your playing (through your Furch guitar) which made me decide to join MacJams last November. I've always recommended my guitar students to listen to as many players as possible, not just the big names, and your playing - always clear and clean - is a delight and an inspiration. They like it and so do I! Thanks for all your music.

Enjoy
the somberness of this and the nice trills and frills as it continues is a delightful addition. Nice two string finger dancin as well. Lovely pic as well. Nice theme, has russian folk feeling, which I think the acoustic guitar is so well suited for!

Thanks for sharing and being a delightful part of MJ!

I'm glad..
....you got to put this down. You should do that with all those little things you thought you were going to do do more with, someday. They may inspire someone else. Like me! Quite apart from being really nice to listen to. Thanks,
Rich
