Description
While looking for inspiration to create the centerpiece of Jan Street Dance Company’s last production, I took a walk down to the Ohio river.
I actually found a rather large, flat, rock surface that let me go right out to the water without getting muddied up. Calming and emotive. The constant movement; currents and eddies that never rest. And the quiet . . . the blissful silence and peace of just the water.
I wanted to see this movement in dance.
So here it is.
Harp, Steel Guitar, Violin, Piano, marimba, and an autoharp.
This is another selection form my next album “Global”.

Doadars Uncle
It very much rolls, like the currents of a river, ever moving forward, subtle changing, yet holds it's character.
Nice.
