Description:
I'm out of tone as usual, but later B will sing this, so it's a work-version, enjoy.
Lyrics:
I've been up and down in my lifetrying to reach some distant goal
trying to please people n sweethearts
I've got tired trying oh oh oh
I've been up and down in my life
trying to reach some distant goal
having headaches not even mine
I've got tired to worry, oh oh oh
I've been up and down in my life
flying high and crawling low
call it art or don't give a fart
I've got tired to care, oh oh oh
it's may time to think over life
why do you try to reach some goal
why do you try to please your sweetheart?
what you do for being so low?
we'll be up and down in this life
for as long as we may go
but for as long as we have true hearts
there's no point to worry oh oh oh
there's no point to worry oh oh oh

It sounds a little distant though, like it's not recorded very loudly. I like your voice, I don't know who B is but, he'll have a time getting the same feeling out as you did. I look forward to hearing it when it's done.

I can't sing. Yet. A glass of good brandy helps, though, but then I end up singing next to the mic :o)
Thanks for the compliments.

Honesty is in your favor. You had to practice with the piano and guitar to know who to play it. The voice is an instrument also that needs to be practiced with as you would exercise any other mussel for control. Vocalizing needs and requires a lot of air to manipulate the cords in the larynx. Start with lots of full lung capacity and as you let it out just make sounds. Be creative. Be silly. Go to extremes with hurting the box and the cords in it. Use voles A,E, I, O's and U's as these have the greater amount of impact in musical delivery. Like your song title,Go Up and Down running through scales. Make up your own also. You just need to get the exercise to there. Find where your range is and work on the tones that your having a harder time with. Raspy is a cool effect, check out Tom Waites, Dr. Hook, Randy Nueman and for dry monotonal delivery but excellent wordsmithing, Leonard Coen.
I like what your doing and think you will be doing a lot of good works in the future. Don't stop.
