Lyrics
I had a happy feeling
That you'd turn up here like this
Your chemical imbalance
Is no shot in the dark miss
So line up all your poison
And tie off your last lifeline
The show is just beginning
And you've made it right in time

It's gonna lift you up
Then it'll drop you down
It's gonna make you swim
Then it'll watch you drown

Now that you are flying
And everything looks so small
You'd better keep it going
Or you're surely bound to fall
They make it so easy
To destroy our moral soul
But you won't fight it cuz you like it
You cannot say no

It's gonna lift you up
Then it'll drop you down
It's gonna make you swim
Then it'll watch you drown

yes
nice one. love how the drums came in all hard panned (nice touch), and that feedback is perfect in the verse. and when the chorus comes in, what a glorious racket. nothing special, yeah right. great track Ridd.

hard pan
thanks michael. i got the panned distorted drums idea from an old lenny kravitz tune I'm fond of. He panned them left and sang right. seems to be an effective way to separate the initial panned verse from the centered chorus. glad you like this, thanks.

This is so A
ppropriate to the age and of time in the past of the microcosm that is the trend makers. Dark, and depressive vitalizing. Totally Goth. On a parallel to Alice in Chains (Dirt album), Evanescence, The Cult, NIN. Had you another ten songs of like impactive construction and a band to do such, you could do tour, no sweat. As for a band you can rent musicians to preform the notes and tabulations to your work, to do a concert or be part of some name bands concert as the 2nd act. The Twilight Zone TV show intro was.. was.

All that above, means that I think this is a main stream counter culture hit looking to happen. Man, you are expressively versatile.
Nuff said........ chao

This is a downloader for me also.

Nice one Trent......
The percussion sounded great. Nice delivery as usual Ridd, sounds Reznoresque.

You ROCK, brother. Great dynamics and emotion.

All bow to Ridd.

One more thing....
You could have gone back to a verse after that awesome climax. It would not have been too long, but just right.....in my book.

Smiles,

Dave

I think
you've made Trent Reznor jealous. You've certainly made me so. Love the wall of sound that assaults in the chorus.
