Description
The first part or prelude of this music was composed by
Ignacio Cervantes of Havana (1847-1905) He was one of the first musicians
to combine Spanish music with African rhythms in Cuba.
He studied piano with composer/pianist Louis Moreau Gottschalk
of New Orleans who spent some years living in Cuba.
The first part is entitled "Illusiones Paerdidas" or Lost Illusions.
It is a Habanera which later, the Tango was developed from.
"La Casa de los Marinos" was a bar frequented by Cuban sailors
in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Nightly there were Cuban and Latin American
bands that performed there. It, pictured, is now a restaurant.

This is just sooo great! This music has "come-hither" feeling to it. A fantastic job from you again!
Does the two parts belong together in some way?
