Description
This is a song I did as part of a collaboration about 3 years ago. I figured I'd post my version while I wait. If he does finish his version it will be something very different, anyway, so it's no biggie to hear this first.
Besides, I was sick of seeing "It Sucks" at the top of my song list. I wanted something a little more wholesome and less sucky.

Lyrics
Timmy was the leader of his class in school
All the other kids thought that he was so cool
One day when class had a lazy sub
"C'mon everybody, I'm starting a club. Join the club"
Join the club
Join the club
Join the club today
Join the club and we'll play
Join the club
Join the club
The sub dozed off, so Timmy said, "Follow me!"
He led them to his house, "I've built a fort in that tree."
Thirty kids crowded to climb to the top
"Whoa! Wait! Too many! This has to stop!
Join the club
Join the club
He lined the kids, in a neat little row, now join the club
"I'm good at math, for dues," said Joe (join the club)
"I can bake cookies with faces," said Sue (join the club)
"I can eat cookies, and burp," said Stu (join the club)
"I can throw water balloons," said Bill (join the club)
"I can draw pictures of bats," said Jill (join the club)
"I can make nerds wet their pants," said Stan (join the club)
"I can make Stan stop teasing," said Fran (join the club)

Nice simple song that kids can sing along with, but not so simple as to have them lose interest. Good musical backdrop for it.
Although I'm not an expert on Children's song, I think it's a great song to get kids singing and having fun, not to mention joining in on the fun.
