I work at a medical school in the Audio Visual Department. One Saturday, it was parents day. The parents were gathering in one of our large lecture halls and the 2nd year students would gather in the front of the room and take small groups from the classroom to visit labs, hospitals etc. The room was full of people and when the small groups would gather they would walk past a podium microphone. I thought that it was interesting how you could hear snippets of conversations as each group would pass by the mic. I started up Soundforge and recorded a couple of minutes. I have the idea that folks who are looking for ambient sounds might find this file useful. I hope it is. I've used it a couple of times.
