Description
This is another one rescued from the Luna vaults. I recorded it years ago while living in San Diego. One of my best friends (and old band drummer) and I used to go hiking in the Cuyamaca area near his home town of Julian, CA. I tried to capture the stony panorama with it's vistas, crags, rock-slopes, and caves. I was going for a wash of sound, a lush cacophony if you will, but with a steady plodding beat. The magic of that methodical climb up stonewall peak with its desert palette of rust and rouge. I know it's sloppy - but I resurrected it in honour of my friend, Mick, who because of a strange condition called Guillain Barre Syndrome, can no longer play the drums. This one is all guitar (I have a little Fripp in me!) and drums... the latter attempted manually by yours truly.
