Twinkle Frost

Description
This is a throw-away experiment to try and depict the first frost of winter and how frost forms, over time, on a window pane.

As always I'd be interested in what anyone has to say about the piece. It numbed my mind as I listened to the 13-minute version. This version is around 3 minutes.

Hi Kenta.....
I'm very glad that you enjoyed the piece.

There were at least five or seven tracks in total.

Take care.

This reminds
me of maybe a frog turning into a Prince in a Disney film. Definitely something changing from one thing to another. I think it would be very interesting as a middle section between one musical scene and another.
Cheers

Hi Len........
Your words are very thought-provoking. I make do something else with this section in the middle or at one end. I'd thought of adding it to something before I uploaded it and didn't know what else to do with it but the frog theme certainly has a picture forming in my mind.

Thanks for stopping by and listening.

Take care.

I have...
...one thought that might be useful: just back off the volume a tad...take this whole soundscape into a bit more distance ... not quite so close up in the ears! It is quite a beautiful piece, Paul, and is filled with little bits of wonder and magic at every turn. I can't even imagine what this would do to my mind in the 13-minute version. I'd be Soooooo relaxed that I think I would just melt away...Marvelous sound.
Peace.

Hi Paul....
Both your idea and Len's have me thinking. I may do some more work on this piece over the Christmas break.

I will also post the longer version, if only to let Michael2 have access to it (and anyone else who may want the longer version). I have to finish the mixing and production on the longer version so I may incorporate the change of depth on the new track. We'll see what comes out over the weekend of mixing.

Take care.

nice paul
really fits your description. i love how it's a lullaby for all of 2 seconds and then speeds up and gets really disorienting. i think this is my fave post of yours in awhile. so fantastic (as in fantasy), i wish you would post the 13 minute version (or at the very least email it to me - pretty please). really wonderful.

Hi Michael.......
Your wish is my command. I'll be uploading the extended version in the next few days, so you and others can d/l and addle your brains with melodic shinnanegans.

I need to tweak a few things and then it's ready. At the moment it is just a rough mix with no production.

Take care.

Hi Mr Tiler.......
Thanks for taking time to listen and leave your kind comments.

I have uploaded two or three of this type of mix. Bud has also uploaded music using this and similar techniques, so varied rhythms, when overlaid, make for 'interesting' listening.

Take care.

I enjoy creating music using computers and 'synthesized' as opposed to 'real' instruments. I have no problem using samples/loops in my music. Everyone does this every time they work with a track. I don't fit in any box and thoroughly enjoy working ou... [see more]
