Description:
This is second version tweaked under the inspiration of participants on MacJams. Drakonis and Dajama suggested I tone some things down like the 'sprinkle-synths' I actually just brought the vol down some and deleted a few that sounded predictable. I wasn't sure how to add in a low-midrange without adding another voice- which I didnt want to do to keep it simple. Maybe there is something that I can do on the master that I am just not aware of. further suggestions from The Chorus will be helpful.I wrote this song for Maureen, my wife. She is the love of my life and my always constant and faithful companion. This is really how I feel about her! She is so cool

... must be both honoured and proud ... this tune evoked images of martinis and dancing shoes for me .. nice job.

Pretty cool song structure. Suggestions for the chorus. . .you have a metallic sounding synth pad that has alot of treble, maybe you could introduce another chorus melody (such as a solo instrument sound) something simple but catchy. I also like the chord changes and modulations going on here. I agree, there is a lot of high end treble in the mix. Could you play some of the same elements you have going on at a lower octave? Only other thing I can think of is to add a more middle range electric piano sound or organ sound. I don't think it would muddy things up too much. Otherwise, I do like the light airy feel that this mix has.

I will give that a try on the next pass. I didnt realize it was trebley but now that I am 'listening' to it, I see what you mean.

It was the only way I could get her to tolerate me sitting around making music and staring at MacJams all the time. when that wore off I recruited her to start recording with me... shhhhhh - don't tell anyone
