Very moving,passionate song - simple but original tune.Absolutely love the quality of your voice - very attractive vibrato.The only thing i'd wish for is that you made more of the last lines in the verses rather than chopped - but thats just me.Beautiful regardless.

Luv the lyrics and the overall theme. Good melody. Nothing less then I would expect from a Cali girl. It's where I met my wife and lived most of my life. I miss her and I miss Cali. Too depressing. Great song.

...and I really could, and to me this is a big compliment, in a newer production of 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch'...
One of those 'single spotlight on the singer' sorts of moments...
If it wasn't so rockin' as a song, the lyric also has some of that Stephen Sondheim, 'Send In The Clowns' vibe...
These are strong demo quality to my ears, Stacey... If you're not going to go out and make a star out of yourself as a performer, start sending 'em out to Nashville or Hollywood...
You have something, too, that is another real strength, which is a great sense of structure. That gives most of your songs a real 'pro' feel...

What a great lift the electric guitar gives to the song at the moment it comes in with the bass
what a phenomenal tone on both guitars
and the bass hit the bottom just at the right moments and never over done to an art
