Description

I recently bought a Korg Nanokey midi controller to replace a dodgy Edirol, so this was made using that. Nice piece of kit too. All my own work, except for the drum loops. There are 17 tracks using mostly the Zebra 2 softsynth and Logic's own ESM and ES2 synths. Plenty of delays using the DubStation AU. The drums are Big City midis which I've edited.

It's pretty dark, but as usual, I know not the genre. It's not really psychedelic! Heavy bass kicks in after about a minute or so. Plenty of bleeping and general noise!

	Beeping and general noise. Heh. Yes, but placed very tastefully. You are finding (or inventing?) some great sounds from the Zebra. The rhythmic foundation sounds great. And dark? Only you, who composes the most upbeat, happy music would think this is dark. But no matter. A real head bopper. Very electronicambientpsychetrancey.

Nice sounds
Great use of the delay and some really good sounds. I have been waiting for the nano keyboards to come out for ages. I saw an article in computer music a few months agao and thought 'That's excatly what I need', lo and behold you get one. I'm definately going to have to get one now if it helps make tunes like this. Nice one.

My Edirol is a bit sick - some keys aren't working properly, so I needed a new controller. £39 seemed good to me and the Korg is a nice little piece of kit, albeit rather flimsy. It's tiny! Ideal for throwing in a laptop bag, but not much use if you're gigging. I suspect if you dropped it, them breakage would be the result. I doubt that I'm going to test my theory! Also, there's a free download for a Korg softsynth, but I haven't got around to getting it yet. They give you a serial number to activate it.

	sweet sounds geezer who needs em! agreed. Great sounds, I would not call it dark, i found it up beat and trippy. It is very catchy and makes me want to dance, this remind me of the sort of sounds that used to come out of the real dance tents when the stonehenge festivals used to be on. My festival days are long since past, I'm afraid. Nearest I get these days are the sound system tents at the local Caribbean Carnival. My ears can take about three minutes, then I have to leave. Plus, I don't look like I belong there anymore. I hear mutterings of "Babylon" and get funny looks. Very embarrassing!

I'm secretly trying to hypnotise all here at MacJams, in the hope that they will give me all their wealth and talent. My next tune is to be titled "Give Dava All Your Wealth and Talent", oddly enough, and will be based around narcosis inducing sub-bass rhythms. A PayPal email address will be included in the lyrics, and I've sampled Christopher Lee's voice. Do you think my fiendish plan will work?
