Description
I wrote this song some time ago, and recorded a demo of it, and I posted here as "Believe Me". Since then I've tried to work out a proper version of it, which has proved to be harder than I thought. I ended up with recording the guitar and vocals in the same take, as that was the only way I could get to sound "right"! Then I added some other instruments, banjo, piano and harmonica, before calling it a wrap. This is how it turned out! Hope you enjoy it, and as always, comments are much appreciated!

Lyrics
My Time Has Come The Chiefs 2008
I’ve never been a man with a mission
Never had to talk the talk
And like men in my position
I would never have walked the walk
Believe me
Set me free
My time has come
I'm walking in the valley below
I’ve never found my lucky lady
Still looking for my queen bee
Haven’t had much time lately
I’ll soon be swimming in the deep blue sea
I come up and the gates are open
This train is a one way ride
People get on and gotta get off when
They’ve moved on and their ticket’s expired
I've walked in the misty mountains
I seen through the darked haze
I held tight by the screamin and shouting
I've been in the vanised craze
I stood tall at the eye of evil
I need time to ease my mind
I see this as my own retrieval
Of the time that lay behind
Always had a lack of ambition
Never faced the smoking gun
And here I am, at the end of my edition
Going back to were it all begun
I’ve never been a man with a mission
Never had to talk the talk
And like men in my position
I would never have walked the walk
Believe me
Set me free
My time has come
I'm walking in the valley below
I’ve never found my lucky lady
Still looking for my queen bee
Haven’t had much time lately
I’ll soon be swimming in the deep blue sea
I come up and the gates are open
This train is a one way ride
People get on and gotta get off when
They’ve moved on and their ticket’s expired
I've walked in the misty mountains
I seen through the darked haze
I held tight by the screamin and shouting
I've been in the vanised craze
I stood tall at the eye of evil
I need time to ease my mind

Of the time that lay behind
Always had a lack of ambition
Never faced the smoking gun
