Nice
Loved the intro!

thanks
I am glad you liked it. It is a simple musical pattern. I just copy / pasted a few loops, and mixed some instruments... I guess the nice result is pure luck.

The intro is from one of the GB's loops.

kind regards

Oh...
...I was hoping that opening was your original. It is certainly very nice...Your segue from it was also very pleasant to listen to, though the style of your original work is so much different than the opening, and so it was a little disconcerting to hear where this song was going...Flute is a little to up front (ouch, my ears!) ... a little work on the mix will take care of that. ... Not sure you knew where you were going with this piece as it is really just a number of episodes, all pleasant, but not particularly unified. ... You display a real ear for orchestration, though, and I am most impressed by that. (I hope my critical comments are not taken as negative. I did not mean them to be that, but, rather, to be useful as you think about how your compositions can be developed.
Peace.
Paul

right
the flute is indeed a bit loud.
Well, as I mentionned, I would certainly do this differently today. It's like an historical milestone for me (if this means anything... just a comparaison I can refer to, to realize how I have changed my way to express myself in the music) ; thanks for listening.

Kind regards.
Fabien.

an investment
I like the episodes-- as Paul put it. These are like banked investments that can pay off as they are revisited.

My ear wanted three or four different songs to continue at different times, as changes to other patterns started. I hope you are able to mine it. I've had nice coincidences from mixing loops somewhat randomly too. Here's something that came from a surprise: http://www.macjams.com/song/49361

good mix and production.
I agree with Paul, your sense of orchestration and production are well developed. And as to the sketchy nature, when stuff is done with loops I am well accepting of that. It always amazes me what people can get from loops. Is any of the instruments you doing software instruments through MIDI or is it all loops?
Thanks again,
Stephen
