Lyrics
PORT IN A STORM

I can see you today
running through the back courts
hiding away from our old foes
like nothing had changed
all of these years
you're living with pain
and drowning in fear

Like any port in a storm
is a shelter from all this pain

Like any port in a storm
a shelter from the pain

When all that was said; the close of the day
finding out too late
led astray
been betrayed
keep on smiling, keep on smiling
through the sea of blue eyes
and through the million lies ...in the rain

Like any port in a storm
is a shelter from ...the pain

Port in a storm is a shelter from all this pain

It's like a rock n roll band
it's like an innocent man - he has no shame, NO!

A port in a storm.

your voice suits the song, man you can sing eh! What a performance here reminds me of Simple Minds in places. Great piece, full of emotion and high quality music.

Simple Minds
Not a bad comparison - big stadium sound encapsulated in our small world...

strong winds
This buffets me around... great singing, nice strong music, well played and written, good lyrics... excellent mix, love the use of space in here to let the instruments echo around, very crisp. Impressive second offering. The only thing about this is it is a real powerhouse, and the ending seems almost suddenly quiet, as if there should be a little more. Not sure what though, so its probably not a helpful critique. Maybe its just that I enjoyed it so much I wanted it to go on a little longer :-)

Thank you!
A good critique; so let me explain the rationale behind the quick ending. The idea behind the arrangement is that the storm (pain) builds up and up until eventually (at the break) we arrive at the port (solution to the pain) and the storm passes over all of a sudden.

Hope that makes sense - glad you enjoyed it so much that you felt like giving an in-depth comment. Very much appreciated!

huge
Fab vocals. Huge sound. The performance on each instrument is very pro, and you all seem to have great timing and understanding of each others way of playing.

Very good composition - something to be proud of. Should be a radio hit!

Thanks again for checking us out. We went for a big sound as it conveys the emphasis on the song as a whole. Glad you like this one too. Most kind.

You guys are definitely pros.

Hearing shades of Gino Vanelli here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gino_Vannelli), your a top notch singer.

I'll keep watching for your music. Nice.
